Wilhelm-Scream said:He would quote you: At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven (Matthew 22:30). and explain that since there is no need for procreation, and we will be like the angels, we will know and love eachother, but not in a sexual/marital way.
That may not be the case. I read an interesting take on this subject a fairly recently. Christ may simply been commenting on the question asked, not on the state of our relationships in heaven. The scribes were describing a marriage from a practicle standpoint, that is the fact that women and children needed to be provided for, making such kinds of marriage necessary, though far from God's original purpose. The fact that He married Adam and Eve prior to their sin indicates that it is his ideal for us that we marry and have an intimate partner.
Angels, on the other hand, have idealized relationships living the way God intended them to live and they're living it perfectly. Christ may have been saying that when all this is over and the saved are resurrected, we also will have idealized relationships.
