I'm so happy Ray didn't show up. They've been force-feeding us Ray all season on Arrow and then on Flash, when they could have been featuring more interesting characters like Firestorm.

Someone is going to be mad next week ;)

This was a great episode I totally geeked out at the Green Lantern easter egg.

Great episode. I'm glad they are making it seem that what we thought was bad writing into actual plot points for character development (Peek-a-Boo becoming worse due to imprisonment) and calling out Barry's mistakes as mistakes, and Barry learning from them. I don't know whether it was intentional all along or if they were just rescuing earlier errors in judgement, but either way I thought it came off quite smoothly.

The fight was fun, and I like how the non-speedsters got their licks in, it all felt pretty believable (a tricky thing in general where speedsters are concerned.)

Even the Iris stuff was enjoyable, for me at least, and I'm liking that Eddie is continuing to be the bigger man, despite everything.

I felt like Caitlyn's interactions with the Snarts were sly nods at her likely Killer evolution, though they did call her stiff rather than cold, so it might have just been because she is pretty stiff.

Great great episode! That's all I can say!

Didn't expect that this episode to be good. I'd like it a lot. Can't wait for season 2!

How did Cisco know that the cylinder would finish charging in 36 hours if it was some sort of incomprehensible future tech?

I think from the plant, the particle accelerator is made of four tunnels, Cisco probably calculated how much time it took to the first tunnel to get functional, and then just multiplied by 3? The future tech that he didn't know how to operate I think was how to shut down the power cylinder...

Couldn't agree more.

Great episode, some seriously epic action, I wonder what exactly they've got in store for the finale.

OH.......... MY...........GOD!!
that was FREAKIN SWEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT!!
i have to say the best greatest moment i have seen in any comic related movie or Tv series which had me totally nerd out in a very long time.... was freaking hearing Captain Cold playing Foreigner's " COLD AS ICE!!"
Hahahah are you kidding!! DUDE was playing his THEME SONG!!!! i freaking LOVED IT!!

... oh and Reverse Flash shooting his uniform outta his ring !!! i am sorry!!! THIS SHOW IS FREAKING ALL THAT AND GORILLA GRODD TOO!!
thumbs up baby!

Quick question: Isn't Barry and Iris considered brothers and sisters? I mean, their "dad" raised them together so how do they have feelings for each other and get married?

Fantastic episode.
Was sure it was over when RF and Flash ran at each other and it cut to commercial...thought the final battle was going to be dragged out to the next episode.

Gotta love that GL reference. :atp:

Hope Barry helps himself to RF's costume ring.:awesome:

Um...by developing feelings for each other? They aren't blood, they were old enough to know that they weren't siblings, Barry still saw his actual father. It happens.

It's still kind of odd and I'm suspending my disbelief but it's just really awkward.

The show is very adamant that Flash is no where near RF's league. It's not only the fact that it took 3 heroes to beat him, it's that Flash was the least effective of the 3 that is interesting.

I'm guessing they are going to spend next season building Barry up so he can eventually go toe to toe against his timeline's RF.

Particle accelerator? How did Cisco know the 36 hour timeframe? I'd guess that the future nature of the tech was irrelevant because the particle accelerator is modern tech. The futuristic power source does not change the nature of the particle accelerator. Cisco was around for the first power up and knows how long it takes for the particle accelerator to spin up when it has been turned on. So I'd say the 36 hour timeframe was based on the nature of the particle accelerator, not the nature of the power source.

On Barry being played by Cold. Should he have known better? Probably, but we are used to seeing these heroes well established when they have already experienced and learned a lot. I have the same attitude towards Man of Steel and the destruction during the fight with Zod. Superman just showed up. This is his first fight. He hasn't thought this superhero thing out and is learning on the fly. We'll see him learn from the negatives of that fight - just as Barry is learning on the fly. I see Superman as the first meta hero revealed in the film universe (in response to an evil meta or alien or however you want to view it). Barry is the first meta hero in the TV universe. The Rogues are new to him and he's still learning how to deal with Cold. I love the glimpses that we're given here in both the film universe and the TV universe. Sure we know The Flash and Superman, but how did they get to be who we know? How did their values form?

I giggled at the GL reference. Nice touch.

And to those that say Firestorm did nothing, he delivered the blow that knocked the Reverse Flash off the building and into the car, setting up Oliver's knockout shot. Firestorm can do much more eventually, but he's also learning who he is and what his powers are.

Barry had feelings for Iris before his mom died, then he just moved in to live with her lol.

Flash was hella more effective then Firestorm. All Firestorm did was get blown away like he was a fly.

They were best friends before Barry moved in with the West's. If *your* best friend moved in with your family, would you consider him your brother? Probably not, he's already your best friend, so you'd just become even closer best friends. Also, it's probably Barry had feelings for Iris before he moved in with the Wests.
