The Flash TV Show?

Good. Comics and superheroes are trendy enough as it is. It's annoying. Everyone thinks because they've seen these characters on screen for 2 hours that they know everything about them. Its so damn annoying. I get into arguments all the time with people thinking that stuff from the movies is the definitive version of the character and their events. Drives me crazy.

it's more about lack of confidence than faith. I always wanted to see the Flash in theatres, it would be a great movie, big bucks, family friendly movie (ex. Spiderman).

I'm more thinking of a grandeur scope. If the Flash is on TV, teens and fans of superheros will watch....... not general public and the average joes, the public that will ensure a billion dollar grossing movie. If we see an origin story on TV (tsskk not even in it's own Flash series but a couple episodes in Arrow???), but we will see an origin movie for the Flash before JL? You guys are talking about more of in terms of "i want to see it now" or "can't wait", i'm talking more of how the character can excel to more audiences and long term stability. If Flash is a TV series, great, i will watch definitely, but will my mom or cousins...... no.

I posted before that the TV show will be separate from the movie

Maybe the movie will be about Wally West.

I don't understand what people's hang ups are about the show vs the movie. Two completely different mediums that in a likelihood won't effect the other.

Ya know, the only Wally I'm really familiar with is DCAU Wally so, I dunno. How much difference is there really between Wally and Barry? I seriously can't even think of what Wally looks like without a mask on.

i'm looking forward to watching the new Flash TV series, but i just hope the DC TV Universe is separate from the films

Disappointed by this news, if it means we won't see a Flash movie anytime soon. Seriously, what are WB thinking?

I don't think this affects any Flash movie that might be in the works. A Flash movie would probably depend more on how the new Superman/Batman movie does rather than a TV series. If there is a movie, I'm betting it will not be in the same universe as the TV show.

Yeah, that's what has been said.

I hope it doesn't. It's just strange that WB would want to potentially have 2 live-action versions of the Flash happening simultaneously. Why not choose another DC hero to focus on? A hero like Green Arrow that wouldn't be explored in this new DC film universe.

Because Green Arrow has his own show. That's what this is spinning off.

That's kind of a really poor example...

I think it generally captures the overall diffetence. Wally is no less a hero than Barry but he has a more laid back way about him and a more modern and somewhat snarky sense of humor.

Barry is more the square jawed hero type when the fecal matter hits the fan. But his sense of humor is a little more "corny".

FYI Wally on JL/JLU was more or less turned totally into comic relief, but most fans would tell you he's much more than that. Just my 2 cents.

It's a poor example because it takes a panel of Wally playing with his significant other. Barry's is from him just coming back after being dead for a few years. It would be like comparing a panel of Barry wondering why Iris makes fun of his bowtie to Wally asking the Spectre to erase him from everyone's mind after Zoom killed his kids.

I meant other 3rd tier characters like, or similar to, the way CW used Green Arrow for a series. It's not as if Flash is their only option, especially since the Flash is poised to make his big screen debut soon enough, one way or another.

Oh. My bad, but I think they just want to put Flash out there as fast as possible.

Wally is a red head and Barry is a blond.
The trio of heroes for Barry i Barry, Hal, and Oliver.
For Wally it's Wally, Kyle and Conner

they had two live action versions of Clark running around and no one lost an eye.

What we need, is a Blue Beetle series. Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned anywhere or at least in development. Especially considering how BB took the forefront in season 2 of Young Justice. Figured they were doing a big push for him. Trying to think of somebody else but everyone I'm thinking of I don't know too much about aside from just who they are. Like, Plastic Man. Cool character, but does he even have any rogues or anything? I was thinking Wildcat too and same thing, does he have villains of his own?
