No, youre right. My math must be off tonight. "shrugs" All I was trying to do was be nice and post some more codes for anyone who wanted them. Let's not make a big deal out pf this. And to answer RINB's question, what happens if you find something you want after you've already submitted your order? Clearly you can't add it to current order.

More Rumors Regarding Future Toshiba Blu-ray Player
According to Japanese newspaper Yomiuri, Toshiba will release their first Blu-ray Disc Player - rumored to be named the BD-18 - by the end of this year. After admitted defeat in the high definition format war, Toshiba initially distanced itself from Blu-ray, with a promise to focus on their XDE DVD-upscaling technology. With those plans failing to gain consumer support, and a rumored $1B financial hole caused by the HD DVD failure, Toshiba now appears to be shifting support to its former rival.

No technical details have been released regarding the player, though it is expected that Toshiba will focus on the larger budget Blu-ray Disc player market. With a rumored late 2009 launch, it appears that they will try to capitalize on holiday shoppers looking for the perfect high definition gift.

Albeit somewhat delayed, Toshiba's eventual move to Blu-ray is not unexpected. Many retailers encourage consumer electronic companies to bundle their products, and Toshiba was definitely at a disadvantage with no high definition player available under their name to pair with their line of HDTVs.

Look for more information regarding this player later this year.

Watchmen is out today Ian. And as far as I know Jackie Brown, Pulp Fiction, and Half Baked aren't coming in August.

Hmm. Thanks for catching these! :)

Must've had Watchmen on there twice, and it appears Jackie Brown and Pulp Fiction were silently delayed to "TBA".

But as far as "Half-Baked" goes: http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=3049

Yeah I have no idea why they delayed Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. It seemed like the best time considering Inglourious Basterds is coming out this month.

And I know Half Baked was supposed to be released on August 4th but I haven't seen any specs or details concerning it and there is still no pre-order for it on Amazon.com so I wouldn't be surprised if that is delayed as well.

I do know that Weinstein is on the brink of going out of business and they gave up the rights to distribute Inglourious Basterds on Blu-ray to Universal.

:oldrazz:

lol...:oldrazz: It was an OK movie...nothing great like everyone makes it out to be.

And for those who are waiting on getting the Potter films and care about audio...seriously, get them now. lol. While the first movie doesn't have the best quality Picture and Audio, the second one (saw it last night) is a huge step up from the DVD. The lossless audio during the Quidditch game was beyond awesome. The highs, lows, impact, depth of the sound were jaw-dropping. Felt like I was literally in the movie playing Quidditch. I can only imagine how the rest of the series (considering they are newer) will look and sound.

To date, I still have only seen the first Harry Potter movie, and it was a long time ago. Never read the books either, so just hasn't been a series I got into.

I recommend giving the series another chance. The first movie is a good movie, it's the most innocent and child like. Although, the special effects and all are kind of horrible at times in that one. The second continues to have the innocence of the first yet at the same time portrays a darker story. The effects in this one are a marked improvement from the first film. The third is where things really take off as the story gets progressively darker, more mature. Plus, the third is my favorite, everything in that movie just came together perfectly. The rest of the series continues to get more mature and darker in tone and progressively more interesting as certain events take place regarding the main characters. It's not everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure, but it is worthwhile to at least watch all of the films once.

I'll probably add them to my blockbuster queue once it gets a little lower

Watchmen: Director's Cut lives up to the hype. It looks gorgeous and Archie gave my subwoofer a work out. I hope WB sticks with DTS-HD MA in the future

Hmm I actually think this was a one time thing (maybe by the request of Zack Snyder?) considering everything they have out coming in the future is said to be Dolby TrueHD...even though I am sure Watchmen would have sounded just as amazing with Dolby TrueHD. I really just have a tough time figuring out WB when it comes to Blu-ray.

I'm thinking of buying my first Blu-ray player soon, I think I have decided on the Sony BDP-S550 which seems to be a good player, anyone else have this?

Also, does it matter if your t.v says HDMI and HD ready? Will it still fully work with BD?

If you are a gamer and movie watcher I HIGHLY recommend the PS3. I have had it for a few years and it still works as good as it has since I first bought it. But if all you really care about is watching movies then the Sony BDP-S550 looks like a pretty good choice for a Blu-ray player if you can find it for a better price than the PS3.

As far as your TV goes if you know the model number or give us a link to a site that shows your TV that would give us a better idea on what to tell you.

The Sony is a good unit, I would also check out the Panasonic units. Or get a PS3. As far as your TV is concerned, if it has an HDMI input then it should accept at least a 1080i signal so it should take advantage of Blu-ray's resolution.

The Sony BDP-S550 is the player that I have, and let me assure you, it's a great unit well worth the money.

Nah, I barely get time to watch movies so have no chance with games, I'll try and get the TV model number if I can.

Excellent, thanks

Thanks, I have read quite a few glowing reviews about it, nice to know its well worth the money as it does seem a bit pricey, but I am always willing to spend money if its worth it.
