The Full List of "Crimes" Committed by Fox's Tom Rothman

But is still getting decent reviews.
Fox bought the distribution rights and trimmed down the violence so that it could get a PG-13 to maximize profits. PG-13 Taken was good but I have heard the original is better. You also have to remember that Fox didn't originally make this film so that is probably why it is getting decent reviews:o

There is a reason so many people hate Fox/Rothman...it isn't because our heads are so far up our ***es. Just look at this thread. I am glad you enjoyed X3 and FF...you fit right into their demographic. They destroyed Daredevil
Though thank goodness Daredevil got salvaged thanks to the Director's Cut. I wish Fox would allow these true Directors' Cuts on DVD and Blu-ray more often instead of 1 to 2 minutes of extra footage.

So in a last ditch effort to salvage his career, Rothman chose not to change his tactics, but instead do the same thing he always does HARDER!!

^He's the George W. Bush of film-making.

Lets put it this way. If I had one gun, one bullet and Rothman and Bush in one empty room, I'd shoot Rothman.

I am glad you enjoyed X3 and FF...you fit right into their demographic. They destroyed Daredevil, Elektra, Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. I on the other hand was appauled at how the FF and X-Men were treated and if you want to see your favorite comic characters molested and destroyed then fine...continue to allow Fox to do what they do. Critics and box office numbers alone show that FF1, FF2, DD, Elektra, and X3 were mediocre movies.

I said the same thing about X3...fighting people that said it was going to be bad just like you are doing. I was right there doing what you are doing now so I don't blame you. I saw the light:cwink:
I wouldn't say I fit into their "demographic". I'm no film snob and no critic so I can sit down and enjoy a movie for what it is. I have never read the comics so I have nothing to compare it to. All I'm saying is that some in here are acting like they have a personal vendetta against Fox because of a stupid movie.

I just think Rothman is just a cheapskate.

He thinks of the dollar and what ever you can save, and make a profit. I mean, all studio heads are like that, but Rothman wears it like a badge.

I do have a personal vendetta against Fox and Rothman. ROThman is the Antichrist of comic book films, and his disciple Brett Ratner sits next to him. He must be stopped.

Some of us don't want just a decent movie, we want a good or great one.

I remember when I was younger and easily pleased because I had low standards.

While it is true that a running time doesn't make a movie this one does need/deserve more than 90 minutes. With all the other characters they threw in it's going to feel rushed like X-3 because all those other characters probably won't get much screentime.

I wonder how many Fox/Rothman supporters thought Angels pathetic screen time was perfectly fine? :csad:
Who said I had low standards:huh: Besides you can't get TDK every time.
People don't know they got short changed.
So you're saying people are stupid.

Well, the whole human race is stupid.

I do think that Fox doesn't aim high when they make a movie. I agree on that.

You see, this is fine...

But comments like this...because you don't like how their movies turned out?? Come on...

well, i mean, i'm reasonable. haha. No offence I am the Knight

Of course it's your opinions. I'm not disagreeing that Fox is ruining their movies. I agree. I'm just not gonna say that Rothman needs to die just because I didn't like one of Fox's movies.

Well it's obviously hyperbole. Must everything be spoonfed to you people? I blame Rothman.

Of course Rothman doesn't need to die. But you went off the chain when I suggested we fiscally boycott Wolverine so that changes are made. Changes will never occur as long as people keep paying to see the crap that they churn out...I am guilty of that too but I have had enough of it.

Well, Wolverine is one of my most anticipated movies of the year. Cut down or not, there's no way I'm skipping it in theatres.

How about everybody pay for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past on opening weekend, but sneak into Wolverine? We all see the movie, and Rothman gets zilch.

:D

The truth is, ROThman needs a lesson. Money talks. Let's skip Wolverine, dammit!

I can't boycott a movie I had very little interest in seeing from the beginning. In fact I haven't boycotted any of Fox's crappy looking films since X-Men 3. Wolverine will be no exception. My expectations for this movie are so low it's going to be impossible to be disappointed once I see it on FX.

The running time is not a shock and I'm not angry because I'm used to Fox's doing this. Here is a list of Fox films released in 2008 that all had running times much greater than 90 minutes.

Mirrors, The secret life of bees, Marley and Me, 27 Dresses.

Apparentley, Fox thinks it's better for an audience to spend more time at the theater watching boring dramas, stupid comedies, and worthless horror over sci-fi/action films with the potential to be epic.

The Joker doesn't even tell Batman where Rachel and Harvey are 90 minutes into TDK.
