Wouldnt necessary say "celebrated", it was Dark Humor more than anything.
Considering Tom King can openly talk about War Crimes and they often work with someone who drew Russian Nazi Propaganda...Firing her for this feels incredible political.

To no one's surprise. If you're gonna be a part of a well-known company, regardless of whoever finds and amplifies your comments, what you say is going to be put under a microscope. Better to say nothing, or at least not say anything online that you wouldn't say in person. For once, DC actually made a sensible decision.

Because I don't believe DC Comics saw comments like “Hope the bullet’s okay after touching Charlie Kirk” or "Thoughts and prayers, you Nazi B-" and thought 'Must be dark humor' and that it wouldn't hurt their brand. Though yes, that DC has not given much thought to what Tom King has said in the past is worth noting.
 
Unless stated otherwise, I expect it has less to do with the Kirk post and more the one earlier that same morning about her first issue.
