The Greatest Criminal Mind of Our Time: Nicholas Hoult IS Lex Luthor

It'll be easier to secure a big name for this role if the person doesn't gave to sign on for several film appearances.

Of the two brothers, I’d prefer Bill Skarsgård, but I don’t think you can go wrong necessarily with either. Lol or Hoult! I’m still a fan

If we're talking Succession, I kinda want Jeremy Strong as Lex. To me, Lex needs to be a mixture of imposing and bumbling. Judging from his work on that show and beyond, he'd be perfect.

Bro is too insufferable with the method acting. We'd get stories of how he tried to strangle Corenswet on set or poison him with a radioactive rock.

Hoult > Bill > Alex

Can't really go wrong with any of them tho.

It'd be nice to see Alex in a different kind of role though, coming off of succession. He'd make a great Brainiac, or years down the road, a (finally) comic accurate Joker in The Brave & the Bold.

Jesse Plemons and Glenn Howerton are also still right there.

He prefers the term "identity diffusion" since he's not drawing from his personal experiences for his performances.

Just a technicality.

Howerton is more inspired than the apparent shortlist

...than the apparent shortlist

I'm going off of 15 years of Sunny anyway. Haven't seen Blackberry.

I think I'd be good with either of the Skarsgård boys. Isaac too. Plenty of good choices out there.

Yeah the Lex casting’s when it gets fun for me, because there’s not just that one perfect candidate in all of Hollywood like there was for me with Supes, and the “wrong” choice won’t tank my interest. There are plenty here that could be awesome, so bring on the circus I say. :D

Exactly. I'm glad that we can relax a little bit now and just have fun with the general proceedings from here on out.

This probably won't happen but if anyone has seen Blackberry, Glenn Howerton would be chaotically awesome as Lex.

Of course, the man has only been playing the best supervillain on TV for the last 18 years…

that face when you blow up a train but your nemesis just lies across the track and uses his spine as a rail

Now that we have a Julliard graduate playing Supes and an Emmy award winner playing Lois, that really raises the bar for who should play Lex and they need an actor who can portray ALL the facets of the infinitely complex Lex Luthor.

It's probably a long shot, but I hope against hope that Dan Stevens ends up as Lex. I can't find any clips that show him acting Lex-like, but these 2 definitely show his versatility and range. He's my top choice right now.
