perhaps......this PPV should have been the Wrestlemania card.........

since punk left with the belt, can this be an excuse to get a new tittle design?

Best ppv of the year. Punk and Christian walking out as world champions is something I never thought i'd see. Absolutely loved it. The crowd was amazing.

Sure, reports say it's up tonight. Hell, Vince said that it's up and he didn't resign him. Punk resigned... no doubt about it. That new shirt of his is going to fly off of WWEShopzone now...

I'd get it, provided it wasn't 25 friggin' bucks (or.. it will be.)

I don't even see Punk "taking a break." At least not right away.

That could be a great thing to come out of this

I think Bryan winning MITB has two strong possible outcomes: He will be the first guy to cash in and lose OR he will take the belt off whichever heel has it (Christian or Sheamus), be booked as a weak transitional champion, then lose it to Sheamus or Barrett.

The next few weeks will be very interesting. They did a lot right tonight....a lot. But they can't go back to old habits three weeks from now.

I have high hopes that the WWE "got it" now. I may be giving them to much credit but after this PPV? I just can't help it.

Somewhere, a TNA fanboy is finding SOMETHING to complain about. :p

I'm pretty sure the reports said that it definitely is up tonight, and that his extension went to the PPV only.

I read somewhere he was advertised for RAW and it would be officially up sometime in the week. Either way only good things can come from this

I have to say I think besides Michaels, Punk is Cena's best opponent and his perfect foil.Christian seems to be Orton's best opponent. They have yet to have a bad match.

It's just now sinking in that not only did Punk BEAT Cena... but he beat him cleanly.

Wow.

There's no way this will happen...but....

I'd like to see Punk show up in ROH with the WWE title, only to be sneak attacked by Daniel Bryan who cashes in the briefcase and wins the WWE title back for the company.

Pretty much. We've seen situations like this before, only to be hit with an enormity of backsliding that mucks it all up.

Still, tonight was pretty damn enjoyable.

Heck, if anything, Vince caused Punk to win the title himself. If he hadn't come out with Laurinatis, Cena wouldn't have been distracted by them trying to screw Punk out and could have stayed focused on the match. Instead, he got distracted, allowing Punk to the the upper hand and the win, all because poor Vinny needs to keep his belt.

A shame it took WWE this long to realize it. Punk and Christian should have been regulars in the main event mix over a year ago.

Hopefully WWE doesn't slide back into their usual lazy creative routine but sadly they probably will within the month

Dang, I can't even get onto the Wrestlingobserver website, lol.

— CM Punk did it. He opened a black hole in the WWE Universe, seizing the WWE Championship in his hometown within his final hours as a contracted employee of Vince McMahon, sufficiently embarrassing The WWE Chairman and conquering a now-fired John Cena, “The Champ.”

Averting the last-ditch desperate measures of The Chairman of the Board – including an attempted Montreal-esque Chicago Screwjob and a cash-in coup by Money in the Bank contract winner Alberto Del Rio – Punk escaped the Allstate Arena with the WWE Title and its 63-year lineage as he blew Mr. McMahon and WWE a kiss goodbye.

I can't get over this PPV, i regret having ordered WM while watching this one on a stream lol.

Bryan winning MITB wasn't expected at all, which just adds to the awesomeness of it. Even if he loses, so what, this is more faith in him than some people ever thought WWE would have, he'll get another chance. That being said I don't think he will lose when he cashes in.

Christian actually winning the world title again is great. I won't even complain about Orton obliterating him afterwards because his character is a sociopath who assaults anyone who pisses him off, and getting spat on is a believable enough thing to send him flying into a rage like that. All that matters is Christian can say he's a 2 time World Champion in the WWE, the dude deserves it.

As for Cena v Punk, can't put it into words. Atmosphere was electric, match was fantastic, it was booked like us fans would have booked it. For once EVERYTHING went right... just WOW, I'm amazed by how well that all went.

Now the fun continues, there's still all kinds of unanswered questions, where does Punk go? Is Cena really fired? How do they crown a new champion, will there be a new belt? For once I can't wait until Raw tomorrow to see how this all plays out. Honestly, tonight was so well executed, they could completely botch it tomorrow and I'd still be happy because Punk actually got his night and we got a great ****ing show to watch for once... of course, if they don't mess it up this could only get bigger and start a new, better era.

Punk wins tonight, Bryan is MITB, my hopes are high for once, don't let us down WWE.

So Cena is "fired"...

Punk should communicate via satellite with the WWE title on his shoulder on RAW...:funny:
