The Gun Thread

speaking of which, anyone know where i can get a plastic rifle stock? as a cosplayer, im creating my own gun..

I don't know. I think in the future it has a place. I like the idea of 3D printed magazine more than a lower receiver. Although, in the industry printing lowers would be beneficial and probably cheaper for small caliber rifles like the .22lr and the lower will last longer with the smaller caliber than the higher caliber rounds.

As long as it would be a quality product. Wouldn't want one that would fall apart or worse in my hand.

So totally odd question, but brought on by a silly online debate.

What would actually happen if you put a sword (think a rapier) in the barrel of a gun and it fired?

You can check online for Airsoft parts. Amazon has a lot of parts. Stick with airsoft because it would be cheaper than buying the real thing. What kind of stock are you looking for? I have a MP5 fixed stock like the one in the pic that I'm not using.
I'd sell it cheap.

That's pretty much a ballistic knife and last time I checked they were illegal to own.

If you can get the knife to expand when the round is fired so that it creates the proper seal in the chamber, then it could work, but you're just looking for trouble with trying it.

Luckily they are keeping the 3D stuff to magazines and lowers. A defective upper could be dangerous.

Something like this? I have one of these too. It's for a Ruger 10/22

that would work nicely :). i just hope these stocks arent too heavy. i tried looking at nerf, but those things arent worth the time and effort for what I'm looking for. i might try an airfost rifle, but i dont know if one can take the barrel off an airsoft rifle

I'm not totally familiar with airsoft rifles, but I've seen videos of people taking them completely apart and using the housing for Ruger 10/22 stocks.Check eBay for Riger 10/22 stocks. People sell them constantly.

I've seen an arrow shot from a smooth bore shotgun. Shooting a sword or blade from a rifled barrel such as a hunting rifle would be a quick way to blow up the receiver and possibly die.

As for legality, there is nothing on the books about it afaik and it isn't formally classified as a ballistic knife so on your property depending on the state you live in it would be fine. As long as you are fine with possibly blowing up the gun.

I had a friend make a 20 gauge paintball gun. It fired a paintball so fast that it would curve in the air. He miss calculated the amount of grains in a load and blew a paintball up inside of it.

Picked up a SCAR-H clone in .22lr this morning at the gun show. I also picked up 8 rounds for my 37mm launcher.

I will be glad when the ammo production catches up with the demand. I need some target ammo bad. I have enough self-defense rounds for now, but need to hit the range and am not gonna waste hollow points on that. If any of you guys come across some .357 SIG and .45 ACP FMJs, send me a PM.

Yeah, it's getting tough. Luckily, I'm into the high hundreds with 9mm and .45ACP. I would love to snag some .22lr and .223 or 5.56mm. I check my usual websites often, but coming up empty.

Yeah, that is what I am running into as well. My dad works for the FAA and a few of his co-workers have their FFL, so I have them looking as well. I can check and see how they are on 5.56/.223 and let ya know.

I'm on my last box of ammo. Not looking good.

I was in my local Wal-Mart last night and all they had was 20 gauge, .410 and 30-06.

My buddy and I did some much needed shooting today. We took out my MK22, ZK-22 and AR15 rifle and shot a Zombie Industries bleeding zombie.

So after almost 7 months, my CWP card finally came in.

I was curious if any of you carry and what kinds of devices to you use to conceal, particularly in the summer. Iv been looking at some of these UnderTech concealed carry shirts as they seem to be right up my ally.

I carry a Taurus pt111 9mm for my conceal carry. For a bit I was using just a Uncle Mike's holster, but it wasn't concealing very well, so it fits in my pants pocket pretty nicely. I don't put it in the main pocket, but the one that is designed for a cell phone.

Yea since i received my card iv been carrying my little Kel Tec as it fits perfectly in my pocket when im wearing shorts. Jeans not so much as i wear tight fitting jeans. However i just flat out do not like the Kel Tec, outside of its compact size. Im much more proficient with my Walther plus i have an extra mag for my Walther that im going to carry with me.

This is the shirt i ordered:

It also has another holster/pocket on the other side for an extra mag or phone or whatever else ya need.
