Anyone want to quit their job, grab a plane ticket to SD and stand in line for Hall H?

I will reimburse you for two thirds of the ticket.

How many can they actually fit into Hall H?

Honestly Hans Zimmer does great scores but i havn´t heard anything he has done that fits Spidey, if someone does know a song please share it

Something like this for the OSCORP van chase scene

I hate when people say Hans Zimmer is too dark for Spider-Man. I think people forget that he scored The Simpsons Movie, The Lion King, Madagascar Trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, Muppet Treasure Island, and so on.

He has experience with both light and dark films, and we know that Spider-Man is a character whose stories can be either light or dark. Hans Zimmer is perfect for Spidey.

This should be interesting. Perhaps Hans Zimmer will compose the Spider-Man parts of the film while maybe James Horner will still compose the Peter Parker side. Kinda like how James Newton Howard did the emotional Bruce Wayne side of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight as Hans did the action stuff.

Exactly.

Yep, totally agree.

I'm both interested and apprehensive about Zimmer scoring ASM2...one the one hand, he flat out makes awesome music. On the other hand, he doesn't really do "themes", and I really want Spidey to have a powerful hero theme akin to the iconic Superman theme from Williams. Like I've said before, Spidey is Marvel's flagship character...he needs an awesome theme!

Don't forget though, that Zimmer did write a pretty decent hero theme for Batman Begins with "Molossus". But for some reason he didn't carry that theme over to TDK and TDKR. I've always wondered why. But at least there's evidence that he can do a good hero theme if he wants to....I'll just cross my fingers and hope he does one for Spidey.

Hero theme or not though, you know his music will be awesome.

PS: and not that Zimmer isn't awesome, but I would die a happy Spider-man fan if they pulled out the big guns and just paid John Williams an obscene amount of money to do a Spidey theme. Holy crap that would be awesome. Wishful thinking though, I know lol.

O snap, Hans is scoring ASM2. This movie keeps sounding better and better.

Who said Zimmer is too dark for Spider-man? That really doesn't make much sense. He's done many examples of what some would consider lighthearted films and moments like the ones you mentioned. Me personally, I'm just not a fan of his musical style.

On one hand, this excites me because I do love quite a bit of Zimmer's stuff and I was quite disappointed with Horner's score last go-around. But on the other hand, now we have Zimmer scoring all three of the biggest superheroes. He's becoming the industry standard. Kinda wish Sony had gone somewhere else than Zimmer, but I know chances are I will end up enjoying the score, so...why am I complaining?

So, if this is true, this means that Zimmer will have done the score for films featuring the top 3 most popular superheroes. (Batman, Superman and now Spider-Man). Awesome!

We literally expressed the same point with polar opposite reactions.

Are you my mortal enemy?

No matter the opinion, that's quite the resume for Zimmer to compose music for the big three.
