Juice isn't any healthier. You might as well drink diet soda. Although water is really the best alternative.
I'm banning everyone who doesn't meet their goal, how's that for motivation?![]()
Whoa, that's not true at all. If he gets 100% natural juice with no added sugar, it's very healthy. Soda is awful for you.
I don't know how strapped you are for cash... but buy one or two of the super big bottles of smart water (or really any brand, I just prefer smart water). It's a little over fifty liters, and just sip on that all day. That virtually all the water you need in a day. And it saves on walking back and forth and continuously buying water (you can just refill it when you leave the house.)
It's what I do. But it's just a suggestion.
Well, got 7 weeks of marathon training down, 10 more to go. Plus signed up for the Chicago Marathon this fall, so have two chances to complete my goal. Weekend run this Saturday is half marathon distance, 13 miles.
Oakzap was spittin that broscience![]()
I'm down 10 lbs from my highest weight![]()
I'd run about half a mile and then keel over from shin splints.![]()
Thanks.Streching. Strech out by standing on your tip toes, and down and point your toes up to the sky by standing on our heels. Rock back and forth for about 2-5 minutes. Also, get fitted for propper running shoes, ill fitting shoes help cause this too. All you have to do is ask the shoe salesmen at good shoe stores.
If you strenghen that muscle that streches down the front of your shins, you will be fine. I used to get them when I first started Boot Camp, they went away.
shin splints became a problem for me as well. i guess thats what i get for going from watching day time television to running a mile a day. ive been off it for about a week now though and its starting to feel better, im just lowering calorie intake a bit and going for longer walks now to keep my weight loss about the same.then probably gonna ease back in to running soon enough, shorter distances, better shoes, try out some different strides.
How do you make shin splits go away? Is there some kind of strengthing that keeps them from happening? I've always gotten them, it's why I never run.
