The HellBoy II: Golden Army Box Office Predictions

It continues to sell amazingly on DVD:

This week's sales:589,304...for example Incredible Hulk sold 458,938 in it's second week.

Total sales after 2 weeks:1,965,361

DVD Gross:$40,820,819

If it continues like this it'll make more on DVD than from box-office...which should make the people at Universal think again about the silly release date they put the movie into.

Hellboy 2 was greatly received but really,if you had the choice(and you're not a hardcore Hellboy fan) what will you watch,The Dark Knight or Hellboy?

And the great DVD sales are proof that the bad legs had absolutelly nothing with the quality or how well the movie was received.

Awesome news about the DVD, lets hope it continues to sell well into the New Year, that would mark a great profit and prove to Universal that their release date was indeed stupid.

As far as WWBO goes, the movie is up to $157, 916, 396 million WW at the moment, and is still to open in Japan in January. If it makes it to $160 million or over WW, I can see Universal being happy with that, combined with DVD sales of course.

Its up to $49 million in US dvd sales and just shy of $159 million WW according to the-numbers.com for the guys and gals who are interested.

^You would think so, but with Universal, you just never know, if a movie only barely makes a profit they tend not to do a follow up. Case in point, Hulk and Serenity.

Movie is up-to just over $160 million WW now according to BOMojo, cant see it making much more than this but its a good gross IMO.

Yeah del Torro must finish HB's story. The commentary on the Golden Army was a great listen. He mentions if a third one is made, that it would be dark and very tragic. That scene with Liz and the Angel of Death? Just think of the possibilities for a third and final Hellboy.

If it doesnt get made, its no one's but Universal's fault, I mean, what idiot thought, "I know, i'll put this modest budgeted sequel to a cult movie out the week before the most anticipated movie of the summer that contains a well known actors last complete performance were he is portraying possibly the most well-known villain ever! It'll be fine!"

^Evidently someone idiot at Universal thought that. Unfortunately, we have to ride out the next 4 years and hope after The Hobbit movies are done Guillermo can go ahead and do Hellboy 3.

just saw this. I will give it some credit for creating an intersting looking world, but boy was this movie just a nonsensical bunch of events and characters. Narnia movie over.
