The Hip Hop/Rap Thread - Part 2

Lil Wayne releases his first "CMR free" song on TIDAL.

Lil Wayne - Grateful. He throws some shade at Cash Money/Birdman expectedly but the beat and just overall work on the song production wise is great. Lil Wayne is at his best when he has deeply personal material. In this case I do feel for the guy a bit.

Oh and Teyana Taylor is godly in that video. She transcended. She's on that there "2016 winner magic".

-969- Thank you Based Kanye, Lord KEK, etc.

Game and Meek are beefing. Meek should have let this one go. Game is a beast when it comes to beefs. I remember when he dissed G-Unit by himself. That Pest control was the hardest diss track since Ether. Meek got bodied. Right now it's 2-1. Meek won't recover from this. Hell, he barely survived Drake and that guy is a singer and not a rapper. And that Omelly free style had me in bits.:lmao:

This is more R&Bsy but want do you guys think of this beat?

I love it!

The melancholy Factor is high!

Reminds me of a hiphop version of the crisis

anyone ever heard of NF i been listening to him lately and this guy is really good also something of note is he never curses

does anyone know of a link to a clean/edited version of the Yeezus album? I know a couple of fan edits exist but can't find any good links. (I need to listen to this album at work, so it needs to be clean)

Not neccesarily hip hop but The Weeknd dropped 2 great songs: Party Monster and I Feel it Coming. Both are dope. Both will be hits

Run The Jewels 3 finally has a release date. 'Bout time man I've been thirsty. New song "Legend Has It" is great.

J. Cole has a new album out in a week too. Nice surprise.

Big KRIT is one of the most criminally underrated rappers working today. Both his production and lyrics are top notch.

Big KRIT is great.

I've been liking female UK Grime MC's Nadia Rose and Lady Leshurr.

Lady Leshurr's Queen's Speech tracks are good.

I have to admit that I've been sleeping on Big KRIT. What's a good album/mixtape from him?

Wale is my new hero. That 90's rap with old school soul track sampling!

https://youtu.be/9Mx1BCdxSrw

He's even got a song with a sample of D'angelos lady - "Black is gold"

Edit - BIG KRIT somedayz!! Old school lives! Can you give me some more artists with that classic sound? i thought hip hop was dead?

I need to put this here -
Dead Prez hiphop

You'll listen to that new Joey Bada$$ Land of The Free? He has a little bit of a Pac flow to it.

This new Kendrick is fire. I have to listen to it some more before I can say it's better than To Pimp a Butterfly but it's definitely fire.

Theres rumors and theories out that this might be a double album. I don't know what to think of it. It's interesting to say the least. If Kendrick does drop another album Sunday

Holy **** it would be awesome if he released a new album on sunday. All the Jesus ressurrection analogy and stuff.

Kung Fu Kenny. He may release a new album but I doubt it.

" Love " sounds like typical pop radio bs and makes me wanna fall tf asleep, but it's got many solid tracks apart from that.

Now that Kendrick , Jay Rock , Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul have released new albums can we please get that Black Hippy album.
