Don't take this the wrong way because we're friends and all, but that is an ignorant point of view. You're saying because people in YOUR theater didn't talk and 'ohhhh/aaaahhh' afterwards, that the movie is going to bomb hard??

Come on JustAPenis. If anything it'll bomb because it strayed too far away from the awesomeness of the source material. Just saying. Oh and love the bigger pic.

Actually, the people in my theater had the same reaction to it... dead quiet. My friend and I just exchange "WTF?" looks afterward. I think the trailer is a little off-putting because it starts out like it's some sort of superhero/chosen-warrior-for-good type thing and then you realize it's about a hitman. The general reaction to something like that is, "Uh, what?"

Don't get me wrong, it may turn out to be a great movie and I like Olyphant as an actor but I think if anything hurts this movie potential, it's that bizarre trailer.

The trailers lines don't make him out to be a saviour, it states he kills bad people, the "to bring us peace he will kill" doesn't mean he wants to bring us peace, I believe they shud've went with different wording, the film is gonna be great, he's not a hero or a saviour like the trailer makes out to be...

The whole "Protected by Divinity" line, I think, is because of Hitman 2 where he was living in a church under the watch of a priest. I guess they are taking his religious side and excentuating it for the movie.

OK, I just watched the new trailer. It was ok. But I've got a question. I haven't played all of the games, but isn't 47's origin that he was a clone and escaped from the laboratory that created him?

Now instead of having him escape from an underground complex with dozens of other clones looking exactly like him lying around, we get a couple children that are injected with the genes of the worlds most dangerous assassins and are raised in a church? What the hell?

He's a clone. He kills. He doesn't know about his past. People are after him. Is this too hard to accomplish?

I kinda cant get my mind around the cool trailers because the only thing that goes through my mind is "video game adaption, looks cool, but in reality is a 90 minute piece of garbage"

Although the trailers do look good, and out of all the video game adaptions..this one looks to be the best.
