No.. He really isn't.

The best possible choice would be David Bateson maybe a couple years ago.

But Statham would be a horrible choice. I like the guy, but he's not 47 material.

I'm fine with what we have, I'm sure it will be entertaining if nothing else. But I think it'll be pretty good.

I've only played the game a bit. I don't give a flying **** how Olyphant looks... as long as the movie is good, then I'm happy. If it's not 100% like the game... Well, can you blame them? Not everything work in movies like in games (same as comic book movies)
Not much has been said about the movie. But, what I've heard about the movie is: It's a great script.

No, he isn't. If Statham was offered the role of Agent 47 and he accepted the role it would've been Transporter 3. Frank Martin and Agent 47 are very similar in their methods of getting the job done.

Only difference is Martin isn't a clone and he's attracted to women.

Depends on how they do it. In the games it's pretty well established that 47 is a clone created from the DNA of different criminal minds. They got that much right in the introduction. So I agree that genetically designed children isn't that different from cloning.

However, it would be nice for some backstory on 47's training, his escape orchestrated by Dr. Ort Meyer, and of course being called on by the Agency to perform elaborate assassinations.

The pictures are further proving that Olyphant was and is wrong for the role of Agent 47. People can defend it all they want, but the film itself is shaping up to be a complete and utter disaster.

Oh well, I'll definitely be avoiding it when it's released.
