Nothing is wrong with her. She was actually interested in checking out the books/movies eventually. But she's a mom with 3 little kids, and when you have little kids, seeing traumatized, sobbing children can bug you more than you expect it to.

Of course she'd say that...

Actually, if she saw it and really hated it I suspect she wouldn't say anything.

Absolutely nothing is being revealed in the trailers, and I literally mean that, so watch away, it doesn't matter.

I know you don't like that but in this age when too much info is given out about a movie prior to release I find this secrecy refreshing.

Not really. Many authors hate the movies based on their books. King has stated he hates the Shinning and the guy who wrote Percy Jackson won't even see the movie. In fact I think the majority of authors hate the film adaptations.
collins wrote the script and is a producer even movie is crap she wont bad mouth it

I don't understand how you can say the marketing for this film has been bad but the marketing of John Carter hasn't?

That's just the opposite of reality. Games is posed to open with 60+mil if all goes well give or take 5 mil. Carter will be lucky to do Tron: Legacy's 44mil with such a horrible campaign.

I think that The Hunger Games marketing has been pretty good, not groundbreaking but pretty good.

Most of the complaints concerning John Carter have been about the title it seems. The trailers themselves are fundamentally sound from a marketing standpoint. Audiences understand what's being sold. This is not the case with the Hungers Games. That's bad marketing no matter how you spin it.

So do we have another 3 week to hear your complaints still?

Except for the record ticket sales for Hunger Games and the horrible tracking on John Carter that prove the marketing isn't horrible really.

What's wrong with you? I had to wait until I was 13 before I saw movies like Aliens. :o

I watched Jurassic Park when I was 3 and then the Lost World and Scream when I was 6.

Except that the early ticket sales for Hunger Games are breaking records and it's tracking big already.

Zanos, I think you've made your point about this enough times now. How about moving on to another subject?

I was 12 when I saw Aliens in the theater. And I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark in the theater when I was 7. Both of my parents had their hands over my eyes when the Nazis melted. :funny:

Never really pictured these books with such modernistic feel to it from their clothes etc. But I'm enjoying the aesthetic. New clip released, at least I think its new.

Took this on my way home from work tonight.

What a great clip. Straight from the book, she is a bad ass with the bow

So you would you argue that Inception had bad marketing? Because that was one film where pretty much no one (certainly not the general audience) was sure what the film was going to be about. But it did pretty well. I think a lot of that was curiosity about it too.

Loved that clip. I really liked the jingeling music playing at the beginning. Very excited for the score. I can't wait to see this scene in theaters with its proper cut.

Personally one thing I loved most about the world when I read the book was the contrast between the futuristic and ultra-modern capitol and the bleak third-world feeling of District 12. I really feel like they have captured that in the trailers so far.

And yes that clip is great!

i think the contrast with the colors on the clothes is a little to strong. i dont think everything in D12 should be grey. but its nothing big
