This is a pretty interesting category. Interesting in the fact that this time last year, we didn't have a Miscellaneous category. We were still mooching off the comics board. Since the Misc. section was created. We've seen it all, from Nathan Petrelli's quest to avenge his brother, to Optimus Prime and his Autobots pitted in their never ending battle against the Decepticons. While some RPGs have look ahead to the future and the millions of galaxys out there, one in particular has sent us back in time, revealing a world of wizards, magic, and monsters. Without further ado, here are your MVPs in the Miscellaneous section.
Y'know, when Byrd asked me to present the RPG Lifetime Achievement award, I've got to admit, I wondered why he wanted me to present it. But then he told me the amount of votes that I had received in that category, and I understood.
NONE OF YOU STINKING BASTARDS VOTED FOR ME!!!!
After my fit of rage, I sat and decided to write out this presentation, my consolation prize, if you will. So here goes nothing;
This award is here to recognize those who gave their lives to this RPG, becoming more reclusive than they usually are for the sake of the games. And this year, amazingly, we have a tie. Yes, two people who each in their own way made these games as amazing as they are today. Both of them are veterans of the games, and having worked with both, I can say that they are truly deserving of this award.
And thus, it is my esteemed honor to present this award to two people whose work I have admired and who Id like to consider my friends:
Not here.
Keep going.
Once more.
Why are you still doing this? The award's right there.
Wow. I gotta say, I did not expect to win the (misc) MVP award. I just want to say thanks to all the people who helped and believed in me this year. I hope to keep all the RPGs I run going, and I hope that the new RPG I and a few others have been working on will kick off as well.
Marvel Comics: The land of Spider-Man, Captain America, Mutants, adn the Ultimate Thunderbolts (shamless self-promotion FTW!) It takes a real love of all things Marvel to shine in this category. It makes me proud to give this award out, the winner is someone who's been often overlooked in the grand scheme of things and is finally getting his due. And The Hyper goes to...
I just wanted to congratulate Venom160 on the Marvel MVP win. He definetly deserves it. I am lucky enough to work alongside him in two games and I always strive to follow his example.
...That said, he is clearly a cheat and I want my damn award!!!
