Am I the only one who wished he was a tad smaller in TIH? Sure, it was a vast improvement over the 15ft tall AngHulk but to me Hulk shouldn't be too much taller than the puny humans, otherwise it's too difficult for him to share a scene with them or interact with them. A 7-7.5ft Hulk is ideal, IMO. His girth would still be of superhuman proportions and make him seem larger than life and quite intimidating. But at least TIH took a step in the right direction.

Thought he looked fine size-wise - he was still smaller than the Abomination and as you say, at least he wasnt AngHulk size. Earths Mightiest Heroes seems to have a Hulk with the same overall proportions as TIH's and I gotta say, it works just fine for me.

I agree with this ^
The only changes that should be made should just be to update the model graphically. The design needs no change imo.

Females always get around to talking about the Hulk's girth :wow::hrt:

I agree with you though...15 is too high. I think 7.5-8 works well. There definitely needs to be a noticable size difference, but not so that he wouldnt fit into rooms at all.

TIH went in the right direction, but I think the perfect Hulk would be somewhere in between...but with a different head. Thicker hands, forearms and calves...and a more pronounced JAW....oh and the shaggy hair needs to go.

Don't let my avvy fool you. I'm a guy and that is NOT what I meant.:oldrazz:

But I agree with most of you're other points. Except the hair thing.

If not the shaggy hair then what? Shaved sides of his head and a mop-top? That's the only other way I've ever seen it and while I think Keown is my favorite Hulk artist by far, I never liked what he created with the hair there.

Love the shaggy hair - it evokes memories of Buscema, Trimpe, Cockrum, Buckler etc. It was the Hulk I grew up with and the version I most closely associate awesomeness with. Come to think of it, most versions of the Hulk that I've enjoyed over the years have sported the look:-

Hmm, upon reflection, maybe theres something about the wild hair that's subconsciously primal? Certainly, an unkempt look has always appealed to me more than something which looks like he's just had some sort of haircut followed by an application of styling wax. ;)

Yeah, I like how uninhibited the shaggy hair makes him look. If it were that buzzcut I've seen a lot of, it'd feel like every part of him grows but his hair and wouldn't match his personality as well.

The mop on top/'shaved' back & sides look suited the Professor version, but that's it.
I know the Gray Hulk had it as well, but I've just never been keen on it other than to differentiate each version.

Ferrigno's Hulk had a full head of very shaggy hair but it was a god awful light green wig, and Ang Lee's Hulk had a full head of hair too, but it was 'cut' too short for my tastes.

So far TIH has done that the best (and the closest to the classic look of the character) and that's what they should keep.

I'm with you. Never cared for that odd bowl-cut thing he had at certain points. Looked strange.

I hope they find that happy medium between Ang's Hulk and TIH, because both models had different things working for them.

I can't speak for all, but for me, Sal Buscema's Hulk was the Hulk for me growing up, and as such, I liked the proportions of Ang's Hulk better, just not the insane height. As evidenced by the pics posted above, Sal's Hulk is more bestial and gorilla-like with the huge hands & feet, almost neanderthal-ish, which I think is better than the 0% bodyfat bodybuilder look. Hulk should look like a grotesque monster, a figment of the worst recesses of Banner's mind, and thus, should be sufficiently scary.

On the other hand, TIH version had a much better height, of course, and I thought a better face. I think Hulk should resemble Banner slightly, because it's not like Bruce's bone structure should disappear when he transforms, but I think modeling the '03 Hulk after Eric Bana made his face a bit too smooth and soft at times. I actually think the concept art for TIH was perfect, but they changed it for the movie it seems.

I agree with this.

I'm beginning to wonder if it would have been a better idea to have released the Incredible Hulk film in the same year that Iron Man 2 was released.

Given that Iron Man 2 was released before Thor and Captain America, they both have the luxury of being able to include more references/easter eggs in their films that could further align on how the events in the Present day didn't take place far from the timeline of each films.

Not only that, but they're easily remembered by Audiences before the Avengers assemble, which I would assume to help, while as TIH was released way back when Iron Man 1 was released, and seems to have taken a back seat to everyone else since not only did they replace their main actor again, but it's barely been referenced since.

Plus, the fact that Iron Man 2 is revealed to have taken place not long before the events of TIH (which was released 2 years earlier) didn't help audiences back then on figuring out as to when the events of the film exactly took place.

Point being, I wish that they had released TIH last year instead.

All good points. Taking into consideration what you wrote, I can't help but wonder if TIH will not be in continuity with the Avengers. I have this lingering fear that they will introduce a completely separate version.

No I remember Feige saying fairly recently that it was still continuity, hence the news footage at the end of IM2 included.

I can confirm this. Kevin said, that there's nothing is OOC (Out of Continuity), whether they change actors or don't.

BTW, I saw The Kids Are All Right today. Loooved it. Ruffalo will be great as Bruce Banner!
