So I just saw someone showing off their apartment on YouTube and the entrance goes straight into the kitchen and has a half bath next to the kitchen. The shower is in the kitchen and the living space is a small nook next to the kitchen. The bedroom is a closet. Think Harry living with his Muggle family. They're paying $600 in rent for it.

Yeah . That's still pricey. It was the size of a kitchen with a breakfast nook and a half bath and walk-in closet. The nook is a living room, the closet is the bedroom, and there's a shower in the kitchen. I just think that's crazy.

Also just a light in the kitchen and Christmas lights for the living room. That's my pet peeve about apartments. Sometimes there's no light fixture in the living area.

Yeah that's one of my little annoyances about my apartment. The entryway door opens up into the living room, and the light-switch just inside the door is actually connected to...an outlet. So I had to put a lamp right inside the doorway plugged into that outlet in order to get any light when I walk in. Can't tell you how many times I've almost knocked that lamp over when I come in carrying a ton of groceries. There are no light fixtures in the living room portion, just the ones in the dining area and kitchen that also somewhat reach the living room.
