...I spent my evening getting high on my balcony while listening to the audiobook for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. I'm gonna go ahead and recommend that for everyone.

It's narrated by Harry Lloyd.

So I just learned about Cerebus Syndrome and how it's "destroying" new cartoon shows.

It does seem to be an increasingly common trope lately.

I had to look it up to see what it is....it derives from the comic CEREBUS THE AARDVARK.....I used to read them, but don't remember them turning dark....maybe I quit reading before that happened.

Dave Simms went off the deep end a looooooooong time ago.

Once the poster child for how a fiercely independent voice can make a success of it inspiring other creators and setting himself a goal of telling a "life" story in the medium of comic books, he revealed not just a run of the mill "distasteful" torrent of opinions but really to my mind a psychotic mind, one detached from reality on some level.

Never heard of it, but I just looked it up. The examples on TV Tropes of animated shows that are "guilty" of it that I've seen (Avatar, Korra, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels) all got BETTER to me in their later seasons, largely for the reasons they claim to be the problem, so I can't really bring myself to see it as a bad thing, or something that's "destroying" good shows. But those weren't comedies, and I haven't regularly watched any of the animated comedies they apply it to, so maybe it's more of an issue in that context, idk.

I think Adventure Time and Steven Universe are more guilty of it.

Tropes aren't always a bad thing but sometimes the bandwagon does get a little overloaded...

I agree, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels should definitely portray Dunk and Egg.

Big Mac baps are of course classified as bread.
Also the lettuce inside the Big Mac should sort out your 5 a day for the rest of the month

Military @squeekness , armed and armoured.

@Morg you need to hire Sir Squeeksalot right now. She costs a lot but can slay a large raccoon army herself before lunch.

One of my aunts passed away a couple days ago from a rare disease called Calciphylaxis, a while after having to go on dialysis and have her leg amputated due to that and complications from diabetes which she's been very unwell with for quite a while.

Today I found out her husband (who was abusive and unfaithful and generally a POS) was out playing pool the night she died.

My mom is boycotting both the funeral and any graveside service because she never wants to see him again in her life.
