The Identity of man in "The Ski Mask"

I don't think it's Fury just because of the eye thing.
I don't think it's the Punisher. Why would he be hiding his identity?
I'm thinking it's a new player in the game.



It probably is the Punisher just because it seems to be the most obvious.

whoever it is, they're wearing a mask for a REASON-

- they don't want to reveal their identity because they're on the pro-regs side and don't want to be seen to be spying on the enemy
- they don't want to reveal their identity because they're on the anti-regs side and don't want to be seen to be spying on their own
- they don't want to reveal their identity because they already conceal it as a super-hero and don't want to be spotted associating with heroes.

Punisher, to me, wouldn't bother with a mask. What bugs me, what really annoys me is... wouldn't this person just hide in a shadow or something?

the first thing that struck me looking at the pics above.. the similarity between his eyes, and Thor's. Perhaps its the real Thor doing covert surveillance before getting involved, and he's returned without anyone's knowledge, and wants to keep it that way?

Except, why would Thor use a gun? I still say Punisher, as to why the mask it's been said before, suspense. Having the mask on leads to posts like this of guessing, and if we saw his face off the bat there wouldn't be the big payoff when we find out it is him. They can make up a number of reasons why, from ducking the pro's since his face is recognizable, to whatever. To me I just can't see Thor, Hawkeye, J.J or any of the other candidates using a gun, I can't see why deadpool would be stocking Cap and wearing a different outfit, and Punisher is the obvious choice since it's a guy wearing black, a trench coat, and wielding a gun in a series of easily guessed surprises.

Sure, the guy do have that blue eyes and those wrinkles. However, why would the Son of Obin put on a mask and spy on people. Thor is too proud to do such a thing. Or, you can argue that Thor knew that his name is tarnished by Clone Thor and people will refuse to trust him now, so he put on this mask and act all "Crow" like. This is kind of like Sting from WCW when nWo introduced the Fake Sting.

Frank and Matt escaped prison together in the last Daredevil arc. Frank pretended to use Matt as a hostage to escape then they both went their separate ways.

okay I read through the whole board so far and here's what I know since I work part time at a comic shop I read up on all the civil war stuff right off the bat as soon as it comes in and some things that arnt out yet cause we get them in a week in advance anyway here's the only thing I do know the man in the ski mask is absolutely not EDDIE BROCK for the simple fact that Brock is currently laying in his death bed looking frail and really sick since he has Cancer and is in the final stages of it as seen in the issue of Spider-man that came out right after Civil war 2 where he removed his mask, the weird thing is the man could very well be Agent Zero for the simple matter that before he was Zero he was Maverick and for most of his life he was a covert operative so he could very well be the mystery man although knowing marvel and all its more than likely the punisher

I can see it now....if it turns out that it IS Frank the people are gonna go bananas. Not because he's back. But because of the mask.
