I always thought this storyline was a huge mistake.

I'm in the minority, but I enjoyed that story

I had actually "quit" comics. When I heard John Byrne was re-vamping Spidey, that's what caused me to come back. In fact the LCBS guy still laughs about how emphatic I was about not having a pull list, that it was going to be JUST THIS COMIC (I spend about 30-50 bucks a week now).

So, say what you will about Ch1, it did get me back in comics...

In a world of people who walk on walls and make deals with the Devil, I still feel I have to point out that with the recoil it would be physically impossible to accurately shoot two sub-machine guns at the same time. Spidey is doing the considerate thing and saving him from shooting his foot off or having the barrel recoil into his jaw. :yay:

Also John Byrne drove me away from Spider-Man. For about 3 years until Paul Jenkins and JMS took over. John Byrne's Spider-Man was one of the worst takes ever besides Ron Zimmerman and a couple other certain Quesada "epics". Hell, compared to Byrne's excrement, Terry Kavanagh's terrible 'Web' run was 'Kraven's Last Hunt'. :oldrazz:
