The Incredible Hulk Hype Meter - How hyped are you?

How excited are you for this movie?

  • It looks awful. I won't go anywhere near a theater playing it.

  • I'm not too hopeful. Not going to go out of my way to see it.

  • It will probably be OK. I'll get around to seeing it once the crowds die down.

  • I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be checking it out opening weekend, probably.

  • My head is about to explode!! I'll be there opening day with ticket in hand!

Guys, lets look at it this way. The only reason something would not have been released is they aren't ready to do so. So your options are

A) The studio pressures the filmakers to rush, thus impacting the quality of the work
B) The studio is not placing extreme pressure on the film makers in order to not sacrifice quality for speed.

Personally, I'm glad we are experiencing option B and you should be too.

Not really I mean they could have given us a teaser at least..

But why accept good sense when it's easier to whine?

Hey guys no fighting in here..

A Fight?...Where?

I don't buy the 'they are preparing something spectacular' argument for a second. If they wanted to make something spectacular they should have started early, like Favreau did for Iron Man.

Okay, so you're ruling out the possibility that the movie can be spectacular. Why are you still here? Why even bother? I mean damn, when you said you were "incredibly worried," I thought you actually had a reason behind the worry. But this? Ha, this is playground stuff.

So please, state for us exactly what you think the issue is? Are you trying to say they are lazy? I don't think so.

And I didn't imply "spectacular"...only something that will meet what people expect....which around here is pretty outrageously spectacular.
If I were them, and was facing this crowd, I would be taking as much care as possible too.

I never ruled out anything. You did with the assumption you just made.

There could be many things that have gone wrong. For one, they could have made some cgi and decided to re-do it because it looked bad. The point is, any number of things could have gone wrong. When something is presented this late, it's logical to assume that they have run into problems and have decided not to speak out about it.

Good point. With comments like "I don't buy the 'they are preparing something spectacular' argument for a second" and "If they wanted to make something spectacular...," one really should assume that you have no idea what the hell you're talking about. I assumed but you dodged the issue in its entirety - which is worse?

And you officially just assumed the worst yourself. Good job. :whatever:

Having fun with PictureMaker 7000? Stuck in Romper Room again? Just know your posts are the funniest things around here, Mr. Badora. I laugh every time. :lmao:

Let me know when my above posts sink in with you. For now, I think you'll get a kick out of my image representation of your opinions:

Im good buddy :)

Im just amazed that we have gotten absolutely nothing.

It really does amaze me.

Glad to hear you are ok bud, this not having anything from the Hulk is getting a little tired, like I have said before, I am going to wait and see if we get anything this month, IMHO they could make a teaser like the one for the 2003 Hulk, they didn't show anything really and people went crazy for it, but I am trying to think positive, I was able to see a new shirt thanks to Bannerless Hulk so that is something, small victories SK LOL, I will wait and see what this month brings but it is just over 6 months until it is out so time is running out for them to build some hype.

I'll take that as a compliment coming from an a$$ like yourself. Let me know when you've got your head out of it.

Well, just got back from Wal-Mart and... and... no dice. Didn't have the shirt. Guess you have to order online or wait til the stores get them later.

Thanks for the info, I will wait until it comes out in the store, hopefully they will have it in adult sizes :woot: :bh:

Good call. A lot of people could learn from your example. Btw, I didn't find the image of the shirt; someone else did. Thanks for the credit anyway.

Yea seriously, unless they're planning one hell of a heavy marketing campaign, this is really hurting right now.

The only official thing we have is the website which has nothing but a summary.

No photos.

No interviews.

No videos.

Not a good start.

Yes, kudos to you CJ for finding a way to be sharply critical of Ang Lee's Hulk without criticizing Lee directly - the rich reward of which is the applause of others willing to join you in your pity party. I just don't understand why a "The Official 'I Hated Ang Lee's Hulk' Thread" - as started by you or someone else giving you your applause - isn't going on its 10th page by now, with several thousand posts crashing the boards. Guess you didn't hate it that much, or are you all just too cowardly to call attention to yourselves as Ang Lee's distinct haters? You guys really are amazing... truly "unique" Hulk fans indeed. :whatever:

Out of proportion defensive response? Hate to point it out but if anyone actually took the time to create and post an image to attack a group of people, like the one above, I would deem that a way out of proportion attack.
Plus, I personally enjoy Ang's film and am one of the people championing for others to be more patient for this one so I don't see the correlation you are trying to make.

WHAT?! Who's having a pitty party? Oh c'on that was funny and I was not taking a poke at Ang. Maybe I was taking a poke at DAMNATION666. Either way, it's called a joke. ArtTeacher and I go way back. I was simply replying to DAMNATION666. He said something like he's been waiting ever since he saw the first pix. Sheesh! Can't a guy have any fun around here. My post was in the context with the thread. And yes, 51...ArtTeacher and I are "truly "unique" Hulk fans." Old School and Hard Core. Lighten up a little Bannerless, we have a long wait.
