I think the abomination has tattoos.
maybe. i think its awsome even if the cgi unfinished.Something to remember is that many trailers have to be approved months in advance. If they're working to the last minute on this and Leterrier knows how fans will be scrutinizing every frame, this may just be what the CGI looked like when it was approved.
That's not to say the changes will be massive, but it's something to think about.

It's not finished yet, bro.
I haven't even commented on the transformation yet! But damn- does it look mad painful! When his skeletal frame started to enlarge, and his bones were all poppin' out of socket- awww man! Now that puts the capital "M" in metamorphosis like never before! I've been watching this trailer like crazy, and i keep seeing more and more nods to the '70's show: during the first transformation the camera pans to his feet breaking out of boots as his hand grows. Not to mention the duffle bag. I'm thinking that each transformation scene will be different, like the tv show, but similar. I just hope that it will have that ONE defining transformation scene, like in the first movie- which had two for me: the fight scene with Talbot, and his change in the water tank.

First off -- think this is my first post. LOVE the trailer! I gave it a 10, and I'll be the first one in my city lined up to see it. I am originally a fan of the tv show, but I have nothing against the original comic book versions of Hulk. I'm mostly in it for the transformationswhich, btw... OMG?! how wicked awesome and painful did that look?!
Now, onto something I noticed. I realize this is just a trailer and so it's not honestly sequential, but I noticed in the bridge scene that Banner is wearing a button-down jean (?) shirt over a white t-shirt. Notice in the next shot with his hands on the glass he has just the white t-shirt on. Did he take the other shirt off? Is this really just another shot from a different scene? Is it a mistake?
Well, it's nothing big really. Just something I noticed. Wondered if anyone noticed and thought it odd as I did. Again, like I said -- I realize trailers are not sequential! I'm not a complete idiot! It's probably just my mind making something from nothing.

That's all i ask for.
If ILM did what it did for 2003's Hulk, which was 5 years ago, just imagine what they could have done today. I know Rhyme & Hue isn't up there with ILM, but they could have at least matched 'dated' 5 year old effects; smaller company or not.![]()
the problem in my honest opinion is two things
one, just like that final shot in the iron man trailer(i don't think they fixed it yet) unless you achieve a wide spectrum of contrast, cgi can be modeled as hot as you want it to be, it can move fluid as hell(mo-cap even), but it will never pop and therefore never really come to life
beyond the difference in difficulty between modeling robots and carbon based creatures (which really doesn't matter here cause the hulk model works fine)
here is an example of contrast bringing cg to life(mind the size)

deep darks and bright whites define depth, forget the blending and washing into the environment ala overcast scenes...
secondly
rhythm & hues
they do great motion and modeling i personally think that's their strength, but when it comes to final rendering, all their stuff looks fake and suffers for it
from Superman Returns, to Narnia, to golden compass, to the x movies to night at the museum...
amazing movement, especially with the animals, but always rubbery looking
ILM on the other hand has been producing the better renders ala Transformers/Davy jones/Jurassic park/ Ironman / Harry potter
that's what i think anyway.
that one shot someone posted above with the hulk punching down towards the camera works great, no doubt because it's full of lots of whites and blacks unlike...

bumped the contrast a bit, it's not the proper way to do it but it's a start.

ILM recent green skin work

Concerning the CGI, I can't help but to think: Is this all they've done to improve the CGI since the teaser?

Welcome to the boards, Snow Walker! To address your question, it's not a mistake. Over at the New York Comic-Con, they showed us half of the action sequence this scene takes place in. He DOES take off his jacket.First off -- think this is my first post. LOVE the trailer! I gave it a 10, and I'll be the first one in my city lined up to see it.
