i would just take small elements from ultimate spidey. the ultimate was something new, but it bothered me, because i was so pre-established in the traditional stories.
if peter is in high school, i would make him 16-17 yrs old, 15 just felt sort of awkward to me

I like USM but this is a bad idea because:
1.) The title would sound stupid & something that belongs in the '90s. "Uuuuultimate Spider-Man , dude!!! Un-necessary pouches & big a** guns FTW!!!"
2.) Hulk- Green Goblin... 'nuff said.
3.) Stupid monster Venom...again, 'nuff said.

Though it should take bits & pieces from Ultimate Spidey.

While it shouldnt be a direct adaptation, they would be greatly mistaken to not take some cues from it.

Because that idea would suck.

Ultimate Spider-Man is good for what it is, but when it comes to Spider-Man on film, I'd prefer they try and adapt the 616 Spider-Man and as little Ultimate as possible. The Ultimate universe had some great ideas early on (it's utter crap now), but Spider-Man was not really improved in any way in the Ultimate world. Just look at their Gwen Stacy. Utter crap.

I don't want that to become the mainstream vision of Spidey. Draw inspiration from it, sure. But don't basically take USM and disregard everything else.

No thank sir, I prefer live action. The setup, characters, approach, action, etc, etc, of the new animated series. Not animated itself.

She did nothing but whine in the series. Even her death was useless.

I don't think Bendis had a real vision for her. Her death was random, and the only good thing that came from her was when the imposter Spidey killed her dad. But, that was only cool for like...3 issues. Then she was back to whiny.

I foudn her annoying.

They should get The Kingpin, The Enforcers, Patsy Walker, Electro, The Shocker from Arc 2

Heck no. Ultimate Spider-Man is enjoyable but it is in no way the definitive version. None of the Ultimate titles are.

Plus it had the absolute worst version of Kraven.

Gonna go ahead and throw in my two cents before the "OmG UlTimATe SpIdeR-MaN SUXZ!!!!?!?!?!?!?!" idiots show up. I personally really like USM but I don't think they should devote the movie exclusively to USM's story but include pieces. For example alot of Peter's everyday interactions with his friends and other kids at Midtown High should be included. Say what you want bout Bendis but this guy has that kind of **** down.

Also I wouldn't mind seeing the Ultimate origin used for the movie. For those who haven't read it Pete was on a field trip to Ozcorp where he was bitten by a spider treated with an experimental version of the super soldier serum called OZ. This would be an awesome explanation if they decide to include this Spidey movie into the movieverse that the IM and Incredible Hulk movies have established.
