That's just your opinion. Many people including myself considered Captain America quite good.
Fixed.
Please don't fix my opinion.
I am being conservative, as I mentioned in my first post. But I honestly can't see Thor doing more then 800-850mil, but perhaps I am underestimating the call of Hiddleston.
Cap still has a few things going against him, including being the most underwhelming Avenger in Avengers, and him being a symbol of America. I think anywhere near 600mil would be extremely good.
There is still no way of knowing how the Avengers will effect these movies. IM3 is still its own special kind of beast. We shall see.
I thought it was great. And I have never been a Cap fan. But Johnston brought his excellent Rocketeer A-game and made a fantastic movie. I liked it better than Thor, Iron Man 2 and TIH(all of which I liked as well).
I think that Hulk is the most underwhelming Avenger in terms of WW/Dom gross and critic ratings and not Captain America.

Captain America: The First Avenger is probably in my top 5 or 10 CBM's ever.
Anyway it should be fine I don't even like Marvel Comics and Brubaker's Winter Soldier is easily one of my favourite comic book arcs ever. They ignore the fact that the guys who directed "you me and dupree" are at the helm and translate the comic to screen to the t.That's just your opinion. Oh and here I thought i was speaking for everyone here, thanks for clearing that up guy.
God no, first half yeah sure. Second half...hell no. Unless you like montages and hugo weavings insanely disappointing performanceAnyway it should be fine I don't even like Marvel Comics and Brubaker's Winter Soldier is easily one of my favourite comic book arcs ever. Thor 2 on the other hand...that trailer shut me up good haha.

I think he was specifically referring to their performance in the actual Avengers film, in which case the Hulk stole the show.
Welcome to the boards, by the way.
I think Cap held his own in Avengers. And thanks for the warm welcome. There really hasn't been a stinker in the bunch. TIH was the weakest in my opinion, and even that is a good movie. Marvel knows what they're doing.

The second half contained a heart rending moment between Peggy and Steve when the Valkyrie crashed. A moment that moved me far more than when Rachel Dawes and Harvey Dent had a similar scene.
"I'm not kissing you".
The Star Spangled Man sequence is pure class. While I don't love the war montage, you are underrating the last act terribly. The "You want to live" and "dignity of choice" scenes are wonderfully acted, and Cap doing his Indiana Jones impression in the finale is great. A lot of great sci-fi and adventure in the final act, and that last scene is heartbreaking.
Hugo did kinda of phone it in, but he is still good and everyone else killed it. Film could of a used at least one more scene after the montage to flesh out Cap's time in the war and before we lost Bucky, but it still works.
I don't think there has been a great MCU film yet, but they have all been quite good, outside of IM2 and TIH, which I see as closer to mediocre then good. Lot of wasted potential on screen in those movies, but also more then a few bright spots and performances.I agree about TIH being their weakest effort(but still a good movie). It's the closest they've come to getting the characterization of one of their heroes in a film wrong(yes, I will or ever keep harping on this until somebody gives Hulk an actual personality and lines to speak). But then I heard Letterrier say that he was going for an adaption of the TV show and in that case I'd say he made a good adaption. But I would have preferred an adaption of the 616 Hulk personally since he's my all time favorite fictional character. I gave TIH a 7.5/10. All the rest of the MCU films go up from there.
Thor should make $700m+ and Cap $500m+. Considering I thought IM3's ceiling was $900m back in December though, and how Marvel movies keep shattering expectations, I wouldn't be surprised to see Thor hit $800m+ and Cap $600m+.
Ok. Just a gag, btw.
Good? Tell that to Green Lantern LOL

Why do we have to make this Marvel vs. DC?
You wouldn't classify the Avengers as great? I'm not saying you're wrong or anything haha, I'm just wondering what's holding you back from calling it great cause I looooved the AvengersI don't think there has been a great MCU film yet, but they have all been quite good, outside of IM2 and TIH, which I see as closer to mediocre then good. t:It's all good. Yeah I personally think the Avengers is as close to perfect as a movie could get, and I was perfectly fine with the portrayal of Cap, but I felt he possibly could have been used a little bit more. I think me saying that stems from the fact that they cut a good deal of his scenes in the modern day, but even that is a tiny minuscule gripe that doesn't overall effect my enjoyment of the movie one bit.Oops sorry. I kinda jumped to conclusions thereI think Cap held his own in Avengers. And thanks for the warm welcome.
My least favorite thing about that movie, honestly, was Edward Norton's boring portrayal of Bruce Banner (that and some weak CG in places, but I digress). His portrayal was just completely flat and unimaginative, in my opinion. Granted a lot of that stems from the fact that he wasn't given much to work with in the screenplay, but whatever. Just sort of a 'meh' effort all around, although it still ended up an enjoyable enough movie. I'd probably give it a 6.5.I agree about TIH being their weakest effort(but still a good movie). There are some "cheap" moments (their CGI warehouses are horribleThe only real flaws for me were Bucky's death being a little uneventful (though I understand, because a later death would've stolen from the centerpiece of the film, Steve going down with the Valkyrie), and the montage (though I understand why they did it. Doing more action scenes would've made it a 3 hour movie.)
I actually consider it a better pure movie than the first Iron Man, but I think Downey's charisma bumps that picture slightly passed Cap.
), but they more then make up for it. The Bucky and montage sequence problems are directly related to the movies length, but I got over that long ago. I enjoy it far too much.Too be fair, your sig is no better.Whenever someone comes around stuffing their opinions down the throats of everyone to such a degree that they have their top 10 in their signature, I think it's worth addressing their top 3.
t:Who's talking about Green Lantern? Might as well add transformers in there if you are going to add random movies that Captain America and Thor are better than.
