Awesome to see that A.I.M. are finally gonna get a Marvel movie bow. Since that image has got out, there's even been a leaked pic of one of the Bucketheads:-

But now people are going to mistakenly assume that they will look as bad as this if they are in their traditional yellow hazzard suits and beekeeper helmets.

Only if they're morons.

The bucketheads could look cool as hell with a bit of production $$$ thrown at the design.

Well their helmets are the most iconic part of their costume. Take that away and what are they? Geniuses, billionaires, fanboys, terrorists?

I'm assuming AIM will serve as cannon fodder for Shellhead? Or maybe in an eventual Avengers sequel?

It's a shame they didn't set up the Erwins (Morley and Clytemmenestra) as Cly betrayed Stark to AIM in the end, secretly working for them after Stane killed her brother (and she blamed Stark for not becoming Iron Man sooner to stop him).

Ok, awesome seeing AIM included in this movie, got chills seeing that sign.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dr. Killian works at AIM. Though will he be the boss or just a leading scientist? Also, could the Mandarin turn out to be secretly (or maybe not even that secretly) funding the organisation?

Here's how I see it:

Dr. Killian heads up a mega tech firm called Advanced Idea Mechanics. He's just signed a major defense contract with the US Army to supply battlesuits based on the War Machine design (maybe Rhodey is retired, and has gone to work for AIM as a consultant? Just spitballin' here). Unveils the Iron Patriot armor in honor of Captain America. Maybe the Firepower armor, too. US Army is putting together a brigade of armors.

Meanwhile, other countries are putting together armors, too. At least China, for sure. Maybe AIM supplies them, too. In any event, you've got a new arms race going on, but instead of nuclear missiles, it involves cheap Iron Man suit knockoffs, courtesy largely of AIM and the nifty new Extremis nanotech.

Meanwhile, in the shadows, AIM is secretly being funded by international terrorist group the Ten Rings. Their leader, Mandarin, plots to engineer a full-scale war between the US and China, because this is essentially World War III, the last two superpowers duking it out to be Last Country Standing.

How does he do this? By having the US President assassinated. While the Pres is visiting Miami, Air Force One is attacked by what appears to be Chinese armors. But it isn't really; just a false flag attack engineered by Mandarin. So as the US and China stand at the brink of war, Tony Stark uncovers the Mandarin and his plot, and realizes it's all a ruse. The only problem is that nobody will listen to or believe Stark....so now it's up to him to literally save the world from nuclear war....

Where is SHIELD through out this?

And where are the rest of the Avengers? That kind of plot involving WWIII would simply not be a self-contained IM plot where he doesn't call on anyone else, or no other organisation would get involved.

With something like Armor Wars, where Stark specifcially doesn't want to involve the Avengers or SHIELD for that matter, you can understand. He would want to do it secretly and recover the stolen technology by himself and his own methods. But that WWII plot involving China and the US simply won't cut it.

yeah, i think the plot is going to be a much smaller scale than "war between countries" I think it may be more about Iron Man not wanting his tech to be used as militarized weapons. the GOV basically stole his armor.

I think it's safe to assume the IP armour is some form of tribute to/is inspired by Cap. :)

I think with all these IM villains showing up (more so than in IM2), that might be an indication that it is, at least partially, an Armor Wars-inspired storyline. These might not even be the main villains at all but just people who serve as cannon fodder for Shellhead to take out. It would be cool in that respect then to see the likes of the Beetle, the Raiders, Stiltman, Stingray (he wasn't even armoured in the end but a mistake on IM's part), Titanium Man, the Guardsmen and the Mandroids, all just in cameo roles. I guess we won't see Crimson Dynamo since we already had a version of him in IM2.

I'm guessing though that most of the armoured villains will probably be nameless and generic and not like the ones in the actual Armor Wars storyline who were proper characters.

If anyone's interested in one of the unannounced MCU movies:

Ok, Marvel movie fans, I'm close to having 3k followers. When I cross 3k, will drop the first big clue of the unannounced Marvel film! RT

What a way to get Twitter followers! Keep stringing them along with clues which will no doubt depend on getting even more followers.

The seeming confirmation of A.I.M. is great news, now they need to cast Arnie as MODOK.

lol that would be awesome but somehow I think Peter Dinklage would be the perfect MODOK.
