silver centurion and shotgun both look great. i kind of wish the mark 33 was his main armor lol.

i wonder what enhanced energy means exactly? hyper velocity is more clear; the suit can likely fly faster due to its unique design.

^ that is definitely the Hypervelocity armor from the Iron Man 2 toyline, which they now finally feature in a film.

this does not seem accurate seeing as we know the mark 40 is the shotgun / hyper velocity suit. just something i noticed and thought i'd share.

i have been doing my best to avoid story spoilers. overall i am doing pretty well at that.

as for the suit spoilers, i can live with them because they are purely aesthetic. it's fun to know the names of the 40 plus armors and seeing them in these new pics.

Something occurred to me earlier about the attack on Grauman's Theater that relates to the Extremis arc in the comic. This speculation might not be a spoiler but I'll tag it just in case.

In the Extremis arc, once Mallen was altered with the virus he staged an attack on a building in Houston (I think) using his powers. Extremis gave Mallen superhuman strength and the ability to breathe fire. In the attack he burned and killed dozens of people who were trapped inside. That drew Iron Man into a fight with Mallen later on, at Maya Hansen's instigation.


Could Mandarin's Extremis soldiers be responsible for the theater attack? Although it appears to be caused by bombs, the effects could have come from Extremis soldiers using their fiery powers inside the building. Perhaps Mandarin knew Happy was going to be there and sent his soldiers to show Tony what would happen to his loved ones if he opposed Mandarin's plans. The Extremis powers would make for great visuals during the attack, as well as be totally horrifying in their effect on victims.

That concept is actually the films version of the Stealth armor.

Which makes ALOT of sense though. Rumors state that the stealth armor is one of the armors that Tony uses during the final battle.

P.S. I'm not sure if that's is it on the far left in that shot. I think that's the aquatic armor. Im not sure though. The cg model doesn't really look like the Stealth armor.

Marketing seems to have redone the numbering.

I have a VEEEEEEERY hard time believing that the the Heartbreaker armor, which is supposed to be one of the most powerful yet, is the Mark 17.

But all rumors suggest that the Heartbreaker armors were built AFTER the Mansion attack (we know he has built AT LEAST 42 armors by this point) and built specifically to face Mandarin and Killian.

I'm curious as to what the Mark 8 may be. I mean, the Mark 8 would be the first suit Tony builds post-Avengers, so I would imagine it would be a reaction to what happened in that film.

At this point, it could be any random armor.

The way the Hulkbuster moves reminds me of the scene from TA where the Hulk is running through the office and jumps at the Leviathan.

Also, the suits look awesome, great designs.
