The James Franco/ Harry Osborn Thread

I love the little details to the Sky Stick. I was wondering how he would be able to contain so many razor bat bombs in it, but if you pause it as he's opening up the bottom to pick one up you can see the bomb is squished down like a compact CD.

I've only seen the whole thing 3 times in HD and I'm already loving all of the detail. I can't wait to see audience reactions.

I'm going to take the peek at the fight with Harry as meaning, the new Goblin suit will evolve through the film-- Harry's downfall in the fight was that his head wasn't protected.

The mask in the close up pic has an insect-esque look to it.

The sword was useless in the fight-- didn't he break it?

Does part of his costume glow in the dark or something?

I don't like the fake metallic shine on it. It looks cheesy, I guess I just don't really like the suit at all.

It looks like a real costume designed by the army not like the green goblin from Sm1

I dont mind it, but i would have preferred a much more "goblinesque" type suit. I wish he would have donned the original to make Parker think that Norman was "back from the dead" only to find out later, to his shock, that this new Goblin was actually Harry.

Really doesn't matter that he's not in a goblin costume. I mean, we saw how long his paintball mask stayed on. Plus with all the action, I doubt anyone'd really be able to concentrate on a goblin mask anyway.

I do like that Peter tried to explain himself at the beginning, and hope that Harry getting clotheslined is shortened so it is a bit more abrupt and sudden.

I don't care about the costume either...it looks cool. I just care about the name.

That would have been cool. Of course it would need a few updates but that would have been a good plot twist for Peter.

Same here. I hate the New Goblin look for a long time, but it looks a lot better in the 7 minute clip. Not as flashy as the original Goblin costume but more practical. The razor bats are a vast improvement. I didnt see why they needed to change the design on them in the first movie. Not crazy about the light sabre thing Harry had, but it only seems to last for a very short while, so I'll live. :gg: :bomb:
The fact that the glider was "pointing" forward and backward didnt make me happy, but since it is only for flying in tight spaces, it makes sense.

How much more abrupt and sudden could that get? It happened FAST! One second he was breezing along on that thing, the next second he was down for the count. And I loved the crickets right afterwards in the silence. :woot:

I also enjoyed seeing Peter doing his Spidey thing in street clothes instead of the Spidey costume. I think it helped me translate Peter as being Spider-Man more than anything else I've seen in the previous two movies. It makes me wonder if anyone happened to notice him as he swung by the windows or down towards the street.

Anyone notice that when Harry jumps over those pipes with his sword, and Peter dodges it,that Harry's sword sticks into the pipe, and Harry leaves it that way to continue the chase.

Anyone walking in that alley could find that sword,or someone who walks out onto the fire escape.

I have two comments about the new footage regarding that fight... it's too dark, for one, I could barely see what was going on... and I wonder why they left the mask off of Harry. I imagine it would've been easier for the FX peole if they'd had the mask on. Imagine all the time and resources they wasted because they think the audience wants to see Harry's face the entire way through... it would've been just as effective if he'd had the mask on...

That's the thing, they should of had the fight in the day,or gave Harry a brighter costume.

Did you guys notice how when he whent into the alley his hair suddenly turned pure black?
And how in some parts his costume still has the purple tint?

Hell NO. I don't want to see a Goblin fight in the daytime. Personally, I think all of the Goblin's fight in the first film should've been at night. The reason I like Harry's suit better than Norman's is because it isn't a bright, shiny green and plastic looking costume. And I knew no matter what mask they gave Harry, to allow him to show emotion on his face, they would removed it anyway once Peter found out it was him.

I vaguely remember wanting to... do something along the lines of weep... when I saw the part with Peter standing over Harry, and realized that that was the exact moment from those old photos with 'the black thing' on the ground.

What I don't get is, where the hell did his mask go when he said "You knew this was coming pete"

It like disappered or something.
