Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

I'm convinced Jared Leto might be a vampire. Leto is actually older than Joaquin and he looks way younger.

The video shows that Phoenix appears to be physically going for quite an effeminate, almost camp style of movement, which is very interesting. Could be extremely effective and quite disturbing when mixed with Joker’s psychopathy.

Isn't that the story where they reverse the roles, and Batman is the villain and Joker is the hero?

Yeah. It's an elseworlds story. Sean Murphy's art is fantastic.

There's several nods to Batman movies in it.

To people complaining "Joker shouldn't have an origin story!!!" Have you considered that this movie could be framed as one a twisted version of what "actually" happened and could not even be true? I wouldn't discount that possibility.

Wouldn't be surprised if we got an unreliable narrator type twist a la Fight Club. In fact, Joker is practically the definition of an unreliable narrator when it comes to his past.

Jesus, that article is even click bait. He's not The Joker. He's a regular guy. Again, people expecting to see the Joker at some point during this movie is going to be disappointed. He'll probably be in the last scene. This is more of a Taxi Driver, King of Comedy type film.

People think the character started out as Joker. Mother****er came out the womb in a purple suit.

I'm thinking third act. Gotta show his rise to power.

The Joker already got his origin film, it came out in 1989.

Yeah I can't see them not showing him in full Joker garb in the movie. Especially in a movie called "Joker." Thinking it will either be the midpoint transformation or start of the third act.

If true, I wonder if they’ll be ballsy enough to not show his final Joker look during marketing. Now that would be a tremendous feat.

Even if it is going to be a Taxi Driver/King of Comedy Joker origin, I bet the stuff in the third act when he starts to become more unhinged will have him in white face

Hahaha i like the mannerisms. Phoenix is definitely the most exciting part about this for me. Im curious! If this turns out good, ill be so relieved

I was also thinkng alone the same lines. Be lucky to even get it in the last scene.

Phoenix looks to be playing it like I hoped he would. Would love to see him in full make up and attire.

Ha, enjoyed seeing that. I'm really struggling to see Phoenix giving us a bad version of Joker.

I'm telling you, it won't even be the mid point. I bet final scene. Last shot even. Unless the studio panics and makes them reshoot the third act with Phoenix in Joker make-up. I would not put that past WB at this point at all. My hope is they fully commit to this character study idea.

And honestly, I'd rather that than a movie just with the Joker in it. I think the less of the classic looking Joker in this movie, the better. Because the more you see it, the more the inherent terrible nature of a solo Joker movie concept will come about. Best case scenario, this is a Better Call Saul type thing.
