Yeah, that was talked about a while back. It's just nuts. It's like the US is on the verge of mass hysteria and panic because of this film, like, calm the eff down.
I sort of get why, but this is still a major overreaction.
Ugh.Actually the article was updated with an investigation of a credible shooting threat at a theater for the release of the film. Basically I can see some trolls stirring up **** and actually doing something just for the sake of it.
Just don't be surprised about something actually happening now:

He never even said that, it was bs reporting that gained traction.
Meyer: The James Holmes “Joker” rumor – The Denver Post
Literally everything about this 'concern' and 'controversy' is absurd, ignorant, cynical, pseudo intellectual, fear mongering, it's projecting fears of the real world onto fiction and hypotheticals. This movie will not inspire violence any more than any other similar movie or book or show or graphic novel. Look at the news, look at politics, economic anxiety, mental illness, access to healthcare, access to guns. This movie isn't the problem, it's only about the problems.
Some of them. Others are reporters, directors and writers from UKAwesome reactions, are some of these folks critics?
This might be my favourite poster. This reminds me of the posters of so many gritty '70 films that the movie is supposedly trying to emulate.
