Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

Thing is, you think he will be interested to shoot a sequel?

It feels like it's kinda under played or missed, that a whole new bat universe is starting with what looks like a very promising Joker.

It would be interesting if a Joker sequel had the joker as the main character and Batman be the elusive villain of sorts - the focus is never on this secret ninja like assassin, it's about the joker and his plan - i'm just interested how it moves forward. We could see Bruce Wayne on the cover of a magazine, a news article and the two never linked. On one hand, we could have two movies based around each perspective - for instance, we focus on batman and the joker is hardly revealed, it's almost like cat and mouse, until the finale where Batman confronts the joker, his plan comes crashing down and the gcpd put joker away in arkham. The other movie, like is aid earlier, is the same events, just from Jokers point of view, that could be interesting and different.

I am not counting on Joaquin shooting a sequel, or joining a franchise.

This movie- we can only hope for the best that it works as a one-shot. But in terms of Joker actually interacting with the Matt Reeves Batman or in a shared DC Universe- all that sounds pretty ****ed for now. I mean, it's a huge mess. We have this Elseworlds, we have Ben gone in the DCEU, we have Leto and his grill having interacted with Ben, with Leto's future now in doubt, a Suicide Squad and Harley Quinn in current times and possibly using Joker, and Matt Reeves's Batman possibly in earlier times. I mean, wtf.

The only hope I guess if they cast yet another actor to play Joker in Reeves' Batman movies, if they need him, especially if it is earlier in Batman's career. And then get rid of Leto. And take this for what it is- something completely separate universe. And in the off chance this Elseworlds Joker gets a sequel and it really is elseworlds- what, they're going to have yet another Batman in this separate universe? This is madness.

Yeah, Phoenix isn't an actor who does sequels, so I don't see him returning to play the character in a continuation unless he gets Heath Ledger level of praise and Hamada tries to convince him otherwise. But even that's wishful thinking.

Yup...he's taken this impersonation too far.

Yea, this. I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out how the hell this is all going to work.

Leto and Affleck are out. Are we getting a new DCEU Joker that’s not Joaquin? We kind of have to have a DCEU Joker considering how important WB has made Harley. Joaquin’s not going to commit. So that’ll mean well have had 3 different actors playing Joker in a very short timespan. Best case scenario would be for Joaquin to turn in a universally praised performance that rivals Ledger, and they’re able to convince him to come back.

Is The Batman DCEU? Affleck’s Batman is just so problematic I wish they could wipe the slate clean and just ignore his Batman and Leto’s Joker while keeping Margot’s Harley.

I don't care about sequels. Just give me a DC film to obsess over.

He lost a crazy amount of weight in such a short time. I haven't seen him that thin since The Master.

What the hell? He looks identical to the comics even without the makeup

I need manips of these new pics pronto. He looks perfect.

It's a shame his joker probably won't get a batman. Given the circumstances of this movie and the rest of the WoDC.

Who knows when the next time we actually get superman on the big screen. Damn shame.

Time and time again has shown that WB does not know what to do with the character, or even caring that much about him. At best you'll get some appearances from a new actor in the Superman role in Supergirl, but other than that, I don't see another Superman film being made at least in the next decade.

Anyway, this movie is the only reason I'm still remotely interested in the DCEU/Worlds Of DC, so I'm cautiously optimistic for it.
