Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

Getting some Nightcrawler (the Gyllenhaal film) vibes from the set pics with a hint of Taxi Driver.

Haircut is giving me Anton vibes. Was hoping for a more conventional Joker-cut, but maybe that's saved for later. Love that he already has the playful swagger. His physical movements have me excited for when he finally "turns".

In any case, hype mode is on. I don't care about continuity anymore. The prospects of seeing arguably the greatest living actor playing the genre's most iconic villain, is too splendid of a concept no matter the circumstances.

Damn, looks exciting. Please be good great...

A. Fleck... What kind of a joke is that? I hope there isn't a character named K. Ville in the film.

Out of all the comicbook movies coming out this has piqued my interest the most. I always toyed around with the idea of a Joker-Centric movie in my mind and now its happening

Yeah I couldn't care less about most of the upcoming CBMs.

eww they made Joker a smoker
how very contemporary
don't they know he's supposed to be a good family guy who gets broken by life

Sigh. I really want to get behind this movie. Those pics are very interesting, and anyone would be a fool not to want to see what Phoenix does as The Joker.

But if there’s no Batman...

There really should be Batman.

I don’t think he’s that necessary but this movie is definitely ending with Joker stalking the Waynes into an alley...

I forgot this is a one off movie for a second
ignore my previous post
They should go nuts in this movie
Cocaine rage, crack, needles,
Fleck should see the darkness that 80s Gotham(???or is it Ny) has to offer

I see that cigarette is a confirmation that the movie will be rated R.

Have they found a replacement for Baldwin yet? I think Jon Hamm would be good and a funny enough pick.

I like the body language and facial expressions. Could do without the smoker aspect.

A Joker origin movie should not work but I'm still intrigued by this movie. I'm curious to see Joaquin Phoenix as the actual Joker as I think he will look brilliant.

Guess I'm the only one not bothered in the slightest by the name.
