Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

The divisiveness is interesting. Makes me curious just what the hell Phillips and Phoenix cooked up here.

I hate it when any reviewer describes Joker as a dark, disturbing and psychological Superhero film. It's not a Superhero film, it's a film loosely based on a comic book character.

Elrich is a idiot, at least the woman from Time is most honest with her panned review.

I kinda like it. From what I've gleaned by reading some reviews this film, even though it takes place in 1981, touches on a lot of "diseases" in our society today. Of all movies it's a Joker movie that reignites the "does movie violence equal real life violence" debate. And probably a debate about mental health in America.

Glad to hear of positive reactions for this movie. IMO Fall this year is going to be very slow Im only Interested in IT in September and this in October other than that no other movies have me invested to go see it in theaters.

Same here.

85% is pretty good, I suspect it'll set to high 70s later on

Some glowing positives marks, but the negative reviews really drag it.

Reviews are... interesting to say the least. A bit intrigued and other bit sceptical over Empire's claim that deviating from the material is its best strenght.

Why? Is it so hard to believe that there’s another writer out there on par, or dare I say BETTER than Alan Moore?

I guess the coin is in the air. I don't know if this is looking good or not.

Not even Logan got this much praise. I remember it was mostly 4/5 and 3/5. But this one is being called a Masterpiece already.

I'm gonna be quite cautious with my hype.

But I'll guess I have to give some credit to the critics.

They liked TLJ and the audiences not so much. And I loved it, so sometimes the critics are right.
