Joker "The Joker" in development with Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese attached? - Part 2

Nolan's Gotham was worse than both of them.
Was it really though? If you live in Nolan's Gotham you never have to worry about balloons filled with Joker gas, circus gangs, getting your mind hacked by your tv, or getting turned into a popsicle while walking down the street. Nolan's Gotham seems like the safest option.

That was till Joker and Bane turned the city into a prison. And Bane threatening to blow the city with a nuke and killing two football teams. Also until Ras gassed everyone and people were beating each other to death.

Three events in the span of 9 years isn't bad.

I'd like to give a quick shout out to Christina Applegate.

Eric Andre should have another season and invite Joaquin on the show.

If nothing else, i hope the movie will contribute to the necessary dialogue that America, and a lot of our societies must have. And the fact the trap that the media has fallen into : makes buzz, click, money whatever the cost
I am deceased.
:D

In France, we have the same. in wake of a new terrorist attack, they wonder about beards. If the individual who wear it have a worrying beard or not  (spoiler : a lot of "ours terrorists" didn't wear any beards )

Just came back from finally seeing this tonight, and I'm genuinely sad to report that I was so bored. It had a couple of scenes and aspects I liked, but beyond that... It didn't do anything for me one way or another, really. I don't know if it's being coloured by the fact that I just wrapped a big work week or something, but I don't have any interest in seeing it again to find out.

But for what it's worth, the theatre was packed and everyone seemed really enthusiastic about it the whole way through.

That is absolutly fine...the movie isnt one for every Audience.
Its not easy to digest and all, you need to either fully commit to it or it doesnt keep you interested.
Personally i dont have at the moment any interesting to go in again despite me saying that i need to watch it a few times to really see all the layers.
At the moment im fine after watching it once.

Do you guys agree that Joaquin has the best Joker laugh in live-action so far? It's sooo damn close to Mark Hamill's and has a lot of variations.

He has 3 distinct laughs in the film, and the high pitch one is definitely up there as one of the greats. It was an interesting choice to not play it as his natural laugh though. It’s only ever used as Arthur’s way of fitting in. So what is the most Joker-sounding is essentially a fake laugh.

His other 2 laughs are pretty normal sounding. Would not be a fan if that became the go-to if he reprises the role.

I can't forget it, could be the best Joker laugh, Leto's is definitely the worst.

Joaquins is probably the best live action one. Jack and Heath did their own take but they weren't really as... psychotic I guess to me.

Ledger and Phoenix both had some good laughs, though some of Ledger's sound a little forced. I think Ledger's best are in the end of the video where he's torturing the fake Batman, and when he's laughing in glee while Batman is beating the crap out of him.

Leto's sounds way too forced and fake, and Nicholson just never really got up to a good big one, IMO.

Phoenix probably actually has the best most consistent Joker cackle, ironic considering in the movie half of them are involuntary due to his "condition".

Leto’s is terrible, Ledger’s is pretty lame, Nicholson’s is great, Romero’s is perfect for that show, and Joaquin’s is really good.

Hamill’s is still the best, but of course, it’s not live action.
