Really pumped for this now! Finally we got Steppenwolf and looks incredible(them boots)! Loved the "Lanterns" reference. The focus seemed much more on the story this time, so that was neat.

I'm also very glad Ben denied those little rumors.:btf:

Yeah, also loved the Lanterns reference. Tho, I really did let myself believe they were finally going to announce Hal

Tony Gunk. Isn't that Q's alias from Impractical Jokers? And Q is known to be a comic book nerd as well. Always wears Superman shirts.

Wow, this is mind-blowing. Whedon actually gets a co-director credit. I didn't believe it could happen. When the internet will find out, it'll explode. WB lied.

Yeah, the Lanterns line was ****ing great. It just makes the universe feel huge and lived in. Like Steppenwolf is surprised that Earth doesn't have a Lantern.

I really like how they try and tell us Superman was a beacon of hope in the last two films.

Literally the best thing in the trailer. And what a great way to put the Lanterns over as a powerful force. If they were on Earth, Darkseid wouldn't be attacking!

Maybe he literally functioned as a lighthouse in his off time.

OH BTW GUYS. I remember someone posting a download link to the Justice League trailers from Itunes/Apple (I think) that had 5.1 audio and awesome quality, I can't seem to find them so would someone help me out please? Just want to be ready for when this trailer is on there.

Yeah, there's some ******** ret-conning going on there... but I'm just letting it slide. They're trying to set things right. I want to give them a bit of the benefit of the doubt.

Man, this new Injustice 2 DLC looks great. :hehe:

Nothing about the trailer reminds me of Injustice. Heroes being heroes. Good versus evil. Superman is a source of inspiration. Heroes partnering with humanity. A lot of emphasis on hope. Don't get the comparison at all.

Q is a big fan of BvS.

Bloody hell can we please get that Skepticism thread back up for these downers?

As I said in the previous JL thread, for Superman 2, Richard Lester had to shoot up to 51% of the film to receive full director's credit. Whedon isn't getting full director's credit here, so it must be less than that, and certainly not up to 50%.

But on the other hand, Richard Donner claims that roughly 25% of the theatrical cut of Superman II contains footage he shot. And Donner didn't receive director's credit on that movie.

So it has to be between 25% and 50% in order for Whedon to receive co-credit rather than full credit, and for Snyder not to lose director's credit.

Yeah, no. It's not like this is out of nowhere. The themes from Man of Steel-BvS-JL are all the same message surrounding Superman. Retconning? That's some absurd crap.

Go to HDTrailers. Amazing quality there. Everything looks so crisp, vibrant and beautiful :ilv:

Dang, I was ready to come out with pitchforks but really????? I read the last 10 pages. Affleck is lying, DCEU reboot incoming, trailer sucked, WW powers are repetitive, Flash jokes suck......like what. Get outta here. :loco:

I posted a lot in the "Is Superman getting the shaft?" thread and was very happy with this trailer. Like The Guard said despite no Superman, the film completely revolves around him. :yay:

Clearly you missed the joke.

Emmerich said directing is minimal from Whedon. Between 25% to 50% is, again, mind-blowing considering all things.

I really like how they try and tell us Superman was a beacon of hope in the last two films.

He was a beacon of hope. He inspired Pete Ross, Lois Lane, Colonel Hardy, Captain Ferris, and Dr. Hamilton. He brought hope to the people of Juarez. And, most importantly, he inspired Bruce Wayne to be a hero again.

Yeah, for a longtime GL fanboy, I was pretty giddy at that thought. Also at the thought that it's preparing the audience for the possibility a Lantern *might* show up... And here's hoping WB plans GLC as a big epic trilogy. The Lensmen were first, but the GLC still predates the Jedi, and DC could truly have their own Star Wars imho with a well conceived GLC trilogy

It's no use. People only see what they want to see.
