Imho,
Snyder has great vision for dceu.
When we talk about what Snyder want to accomplish, it was all deep.
And he has great sense of art and beautiful visuals.
But how he translated those idea and vision into plot, storyline and character, it didnt work for me.
I admire his ideas but not convinced by how it was executed in MoS and BvS (but MoS way better).

When people try to defend Snyder, they defend his vision, but i think what matter is how the execution.

E.g. you want to establish a traumatic batman, a violent batman way different from original comic book batman, you cant just show 1 scene refering to Robin's death by joker. That 1 scene didnt get enough emotional resonance from audience.

You want to establish superman and batman realize they have similarities, but a scene in 'martha' didnt work impactfully cos the audience can think of many other ways to accomplish that regarding batman's original detective skill.

SS was the worst.
It has no vision, no ideas, no heart behind it. No emotional resonance at all and poor execution. If Margot Robbie wasnt playing HQ and Will Smith wasnt playing DS, this film wouldnt have any quality at all.

Justice League... it lost Snyder's vision. This film detached. It has idea but short straight one, like in WW. It didnt get enough emotional resonance. Its like SS counting on the interaction among characters. This was clearly a continuation from BvS, but the departure from Snyder vision make it dry.

Too bad.

DCEU has way better ideas and vision, hopefully in future they will get better execution.

I still shake my head at Gal's line reading here.

To be fair a lot of her line delivery is like that.

This is the worst scene in the movie for me, which is a tough choice because there are several terrible scenes and moments. But this was especially embarrassing since it's obvious that none of the actors were actually in the same room when their shot their part.

Pretty much. And yet you have some people still lamenting on how they enjoyed the scene due to the chemistry between the cast, which is ironic since none of them were actually there together.

Makes you wonder on what the original scene, which was shot by Snyder, was like where the entire cast was actually there with actual motivation to give a sincere performance.

In particular, this one shot of Ben in Snyder's hangar scene, as Bruce looks at Superman's hologram does a better job in conveying his guilt over Superman's death than the entire scene that Whedon filmed.

It also was the biggest plot hole continuity error Joss Whedon wrote.

I mean cmon go watch BVS before rewriting this stuff!!!

Cyborg said the mother box was shelved since WW1 until the night Superman died when it lit up.

Now I can think of ways covering that plot hole up like maybe Diana saw a LIVE Video of the Mother Box creating Cyborg where Luthor has a live spy cam on that drive over Victor and Silas Stones's Star Labs OR Cyborg just meant it was used to create Cyborg before but it did not lit up so heavily until the death of Superman OR Cyborg just made a human/computer error since he was dazed and confused being made mechanical at that time.

But come on writers....WTH!!!

Speechless. Hands down the best re-edit I've seen thus far. This guy didn't just slap the music over it, he really meticulously edited into the action like a pro. He also added back in all of Snyder's original clips. Just amazing work.

A.B. makes some of the best JL fan-edits out there. His re-edit of Superman's return in the final battle is a million times better than what we actually got.

wow... The whole fight was about 10 times more engaging with MOS and BVS music

I think it's the percussion that really makes a difference

The part where flash pushes WW’s sword up to her is cool but I don’t understand how she grabs it while flash is still running and everything slowed down?
I don’t get it :funny:
It bothers me every time I see it.

That actually gave me chills repeatedly!! Specially the part where Arthur stops the waves and saves the rest :hmr::hmr::hmr:

Really liked this edit. It's also nice that he cut the cheap lines.

Maybe we could make a thread where we could gather all of those re-edits?

It just goes to show you the power and impact of music in film. People really do not realize how much the score shapes the feeling, mood and impact of a movie has on the viewer.

Absolutely. The score/music tells the story just as much as dialogue or action. I miss the Zimmer score so much. It's hard for me to even watch the re-edited fan versions of this film. It's just tough all around with this movie for me.

Dane! Why all these fans edit so good, way better than the original?

The material already there.

Haha, good point. That stuff never bothers me. As long as it looks sufficiently cool I let it go. ;)

She's pretty fast herself, just not flash fast.

Found this comment on the DC cinematic subreddit

You and your reshoots. Galloping through the media, trying to warn us. 1 if by Whedon, 2 if by johns. ....(erm)

Do you know the oldest lie in America WB? It’s that these “reshoots are for connective tissue, that’s all” .

We know better now don’t we? Reshoots don’t follow zacks vision. No they reshot the film.

Nice fan edit. Cuts out most of the reshoots, graded nearer to Zack's style, and uses some music from the prev films.
