The Kennedy Thread

you seriously never saw all the videos and pictures that are available ? they were available way before the internet, also

I guess I never examined them like that. I'm not one for gorey details, that's why the Watchmen film shocked me out of my seat. And I asked my friend next to me in the theater "Did it really happen like that?" He was like, "I dunno."

I don't think the media has ever played up THOSE details...brain matter, etc.

yeah, you can see that. in the distance. bone, I don't think so :hehe: I think that'd be up to the viewer's imagination. but the Zapruder film is pretty graphic.

edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zapruder_film check this and all the links at the bottom

I knew JFK was shot in the head, but after seeing the Zapruder film, I'm surprised at how accurate the assassination was depicted in Watchmen.

Okay I've seen it.

It actually brought tears to my eyes and I don't know why. It's just...tragic that a wife would have to experience something so terrible. Wow...just...wow.

I think that.. watching it as it is, with no sound, adds more.. drama? could be the right word

Also, basically Kennedy was shot in the back (or front, pick your preference) of the head, neck, and his back. Connally was shot in his back, hand, and leg. Three bullets, 5.6 seconds. You do the math.

Obviously there were multiple shooters. I'm surprised the First Lady didn't get hit.

I don't care how many government commissioned reports say otherwise, I will never buy that a horrible marksman could pull off three perfect shots with a lousy rifle in less than six seconds. I think what kills the whole thing for me is that a police officer saw Oswald on the second floor of the School Book Depository (the sniper's nest was on the sixth floor) buying a Coke 50 seconds after the assassination. That whole thing was beyond fishy.

Oswald was a qualified Sharpshooter.

And people have fired replicas of the sniper three times well within the six second time.

I have no idea if others were involved with Kennedy's death, and quite frankly I don't give a damn, but it's not out of the realm of very real possibility than Oswald had no help with the shot itself.

Check out JFK by Oliver Stone. It definitely isn't a complete work of non-fiction, but it is really interesting and will certainly make you think.

Oswald was definitely one of the shooters, but there were at least two more in the Grassy Knoll and in the sewers.

JFK was shot in the back once and then again in the head in Dallas on November 22, 1963 by sniper Lee Harvey Oswald, a former US marine, who was hiding in a book depository. Jackie Kennedy was in the car and in fact was trying to get down and scoop up Kennedy's brains and put them back in his head before the secret service rushed her and her dying husband off to a hospital.

That is how it more than likely happened. But due to the stature and myth around Kennedy and the fact that his head leaned back with the gun shot as opposed to forward, many speculate that there was a second gunman behind the grassy knoll (the Comedian in the movie) and it was a conspiracy. Some think it was the mafia, others Cuba, some the Soviets (as Oswald immigrated there when he was 19) and others still think it was the CIA attempting to prevent Kennedy from withdrawing from Vietnam. The last theory was the basis of Oliver Stone's film, JFK. I do not subscribe to these theories.

Oswald was arrested later that day after killing a cop while on the run and tracked to a movie theater. He was arrested and then assassinated himself on the way to Dallas County on November 24, 1963 by Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner and businessman who may have had ties to the mob. Ruby claimed he did it, because he felt sorry for Jackie, but that is a dubious claim.

See...that part right there just blows my mind (no pun intended). If my wife had her brains blown out I couldn't see myself trying to scoop up ANYTHING--let alone put them back.

I would just stand there. Frozen. And totally like WTF?!

I mean seriously: Jackie O. once had brains in/on her hands.

 x 1,000,0000

It's also depicted as such in the X-Files.. only the second shooter is the Cigarette Smoking man.

She doesn't even remember getting out of her seat. What she did was just an automatic reaction that wasn't able to comprehend what had happened.

I just looked at the pictures again.. First time in years...

I almost puked.
