I just don't see why they're so ashamed of making a series about Green Arrow.

The League is a wide organisation, that even has ties to the Green Arrow mythos. But there are so many characters who'll never be seen on film with Batman, or not heavily, so why not use those characters?

The Arrow/Batman similarities don't stop there, if we want to be real about it. I mean, an episode or two ago, the Arrow literally hung a criminal upside down to shout at him and interrogate him in exact same fashion as Bale's Batman did in Batman Begins.

The point is this -- This should should avoid blatantly ripping off Batman stories by having the Arrow face and somehow defeat Ra's Al Ghul.

Nope, just feel that he has become way to saturated.

So when ras appears you don't want Oliver to defeat him? That's how it works though, villain appears, villain and hero fight, villain looks like he's winning then boom! Hero wins.

And since you guys don't like rehashing stuff, how about we have Oliver mentor a young Bruce Wayne ;D

Have you seen Season 2? Other than the Ra's references, there is nothing Batman about it. They're even bringing in Nyssa instead of Talia, which is a character we'll probably never see on film with Batman.

I don't think they feel that way at all.

I know you weren't talking to me, but I'm going to respond anyway. I don't know if I want Oliver and Ra's to meet, but if they do, I don't want Oliver to be able to take him down.

I want Ra's to face Ollie, destroy him in a fight that looks completely one-sided and the only reason Ollie survives is because Ra's thinks it's beneath him, so he walks away bored.

This, I wouldn't mind them establishing that certain characters are in a whole other league than Ollie in terms of ability, gives him room for further improvement as well, I don't want him to be able to genuinely go toe to toe with the likes of Ra's until the shows final season.

I don't know that I'd want to see arrow bring down TLOA,that should be reserved for Batman.But there's no reason on God's good earth that Ra's can't have adversarial dealings with Ollie.

It kinda reminds me of the Kingpin/Daredevil/Spider-Man dynamic.Technically,Fisk is supposed to be a Spidey villain,but honestly,Spidey has much better villains on his plate.So when Miller gave Fisk to Daredevil,he became a much better villain than he'd ever been for Spidey.

Now,I'm not so much saying they should just transfer all Ra's storylines to Ollie,but it's doubtful Ra's will be used in a Batman film in the near future.If something useful can be done with the character,why not use him instead of letting him languish in some back burner of the DCU,until enough time has passed from the Nolan films?

Meh was a big fan of the League for a long time but in the last few years the only purpose they serve is to do basically nothing and still get credit for everything.

I don't want Ra's to have any respect for Oliver if he ever appears. That should be reserved for Batman alone.

If Tim flippin Drake could earn his respect than I'm sure Ollie could too,he has also respected Bane,Joker,Vandal Savage,Nightwing and Lex Luthor too.

EDIT: Actually, I take that back. Oliver has been responsible for the deaths of some of his lieutenants, so he shouldn't be "nothing". Maybe a worm or a gnat or some other small, inconsequential thing that we usually don't bother dealing with directly.

They've already said that Nyssa will have shades of Talia and remember that beloved reference? I've never seen Nyssa use that word,might as well be Talia really but I'll reserve full judgement till I see her fully.

Somehow; I'm not surprised. The impression that I've gotten of the character is that the reason why he respects Batman so much is due to the fact that Batman is human and yet manages to overcome several obstacles by making himself the best that a human can be and possessing intelligence that dwarfs many.

Yeah and he's pretty specific about the genetics as well,when he found out JPV had animal DNA he immediately rejected him right after going through all the trouble of getting JPV to join him.Superman being an alien alone rules him out.

Part of what's so good about Oliver and Bruce is that they generally always find a way to win, so when ras does appear, he'll probably beat Oliver hands down a few times just like Malcolm did and then finds the means to defeat him.
