I imagine the only people who are going to watch this are the Kirstin Kreuk and super hardcore fans. I can't see how this movie could remotely appeal to the casual movie goer with the slightest sense of taste.

Well im going to see it for 2 reasons:

1- KK is super hot, and sweet, and yeah...

2- Grew up on Street Fighter, with Chun Li being my favorite character

So yeah this looks like a awful movie, but im still going, and even though I wish this was more serious and well done (from what ive seen so far its def not) im going to go.

If you go in with such low expectations hopefully you can find some sort of joy in it. Even if they get a few key moves of chun lis in the film, and they are some what entertaining i will be pleased.

Oh man, it looks REALLY bad. Even worse than A Sound of Thunder, in that there's no camp value or so-bad-it's-good moments. It just seems plain BAD.

It might be tolerable on TV and there's nothing else on, but that's it. It might be entertaining if one's drunk or stoned, but for everyone else, a must-avoid.

This movie is coming out next week...wow. I guess they're really just "dumping" this into theaters? Judging by their promotion, their confidence in this film is none.

I'm not gonna say this movie is good or bad until after I see it, but I would like to say some things

- Capcom was part of the decision making on this film. They chose Chun Li to be the lead character, they chose who would be playing Chun Li and all the other actors, they approved everything that has to do with this film.

- Chun Li's mother has never been spoken of in any official text of Street Fighter. Her mother in this movie is white. Since Capcom approved this, Chun Li is, for now, a half Chinese/half white character.

- The characters are not wearing their game clothes because this movie takes place before the games. If you think by simply putting Bison in a red military costume it would make this movie awesome, then I don't know what to tell you. Costumes do not make a good movie. Look at Van Damme's movie.

- Kristin Kreuk is half Chinese and a purple belt martial artist

- This film, unlike the Van Damme movie, follows the official storylines of Street Fighter. Bison kills Chun Li's father. Gen is an ex criminal and trains Chun Li. Nash and Chun Li meet up to take down Bison. Bison sheds his good side who is Rose. Balrog is an ex boxer and now thug for Bison. Vega is a sadistic assassin. Bison is the head of Shadaloo. Bison has a dark power which we know as psycho power.

- Bison's body in this movie is not the body Bison is seen in in the games. Bison can switch bodies.

- Chun Li doesn't have huge legs in this movie because she's not a cartoon character.

- This movie is NOT going for "realistic" unless you consider fireballs and psycho power to be "realistic"

You give me just a little bit of hope for this movie.

That Vega will still be the greatest travesty though

Well, he (or is it the producers of the film) is still living off his most talented role from a decade ago. He did not win for that role, which was actually a good thing, otherwise he may have gone down as one of the worst Oscar Winners in history (I believe Michael Caine won that year).

don't get me wrong,

kristen kruek is hot as Chun li,

but she is nowhere near as hot as Ming Na was as Chun li.

Ming Na's sexy thighs were unstoppable.

You can't have a Chun Li movie without big thighs.

Its tantamount to herecy to allow this to happen for a movie!
