The Loki Thread

Well, if they decide to use the female version of Loki, his love scenes with Karnilla will become A LOT more interesting to me...

My friend on AIM gave me a thought. What about the female version of Loki? I mean I don't necessarily agree with it, cause I'd rather start with the original Loki, but what do you guys think? Or maybe have him take his female form in the movie for some purpose, seeing as he's a shapeshifter and all.

It could be interesting having female Loki show up in an Avengers movie, perhaps. But for his first film appearance, Loki should definitely be male.

I really hope they don't use the female Loki for anything. It only works for me right now because of the specific circumstances in the story. I mean, yeah, Loki's a shapeshifter, but he's clearly more comfortable being male by default.

it could be funny to see loki shapeshift into woman in the movie...maybe even into black widow or another female avenger. talking to the others, setting false clues and all that. then catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror, checking himself out (like the goat-boy in stardust lol)

That'd be cool. I just don't want him to be female by default for the whole movie or anything. Loki's a dude who sometimes shapeshifts into women, not the other way around.

how far does lokis shape shifting ability go? can he become a child? or a 8 feet tall? can he be animals or inanimate objects?

He's shapeshifted into animals in the myths. I don't know about inanimate objects or any large things, but a child seems doable.

:facepalm

He's the new casting choice for like EVERY villain haha.

I'd still go with Joseph Fiennes for Loki. Unlike Hartnett, you could use him for the Avengers movie and he wouldn't stand out like a sore thumb.

Nice choice. While everybody wants his brother for every villain role, you thought out of the box.

Heh, it's funny that Fiennes has almost as big a forehead as one of Tom Raney's ridiculously out-of-proportion foreheads. :D

Joseph Fiennes is such an overactor. Give me his brother Ralph instead!!

Yeah, something like that was reported a while ago by IESB and Latino Review. But a couple of weeks later, Nikki Finke of Hollywood Elsewhere heard from one of her sources that it wasn't clear whether he was up for the Loki role or for the Thor role.

What do you guys think about Robert Pattison playing Loki? He seems quite intense to me and he's young enough to star alongside Skaarsgard.

No., for 2 reasons. 1: He was in Twilight , which both ruined any possibilities for a good movie and put him in one adaptaton of something. and 2: Hes not very Loki-ish IMO
