The Look of the Turtles

I don't think it looks that bad, to tell you the truth I kinda dig it. But what I'm not a fan of is the tattoo.

yes, that is the first thing that came to mind when I saw it too... why they wouldn't continue the skin texture onto the mask instead of making it flat bring green, is beyond me

Obviously the Halloween costume version is gonna look bad, but the nose, lips, pants and tattoo are all a pretty big bummer.

The only thing I'm not a fan of is that the head doesn't have the same texture as the rest of the body. It's a little odd. However, I'll wait until I see actual shots/footage from the film before I jump the gun. Overall, I certainly don't hate it.

the costume isnt the exact result of what the actual movie look will be...but it will have the same attributes and thats an issue in my eyes...this thread had so many diffrent postings from diffrent looks and aproaches and what we are gonna get is just one of the bad examples...
i love the turtles
but i it seems this will be a big disapointment for me...
i mean i could live with alot of versions...
i just lost all my faith in this incarnation. oh well..thers alot of other movies to enjoy (thank god)

In the long run i ain't gonna make a fuss but I'm not that impressed with the choice of adding clothing/accessories, I mean I'm abit worried its a change that really isn't needed, why fix it if it ain't broken

I gather this means we will have very overly humanised turtles this time

ok one question: wearing the ''perfect'' batman suit and not looking like bruce wayne, or the other way around?
i mean if they wear clothes to disguise them selves or even riding a skateboard, how can the accessories be that much of an issue if they dont look like turtles but like green mean with a wide mouth?
no really, lets try to explain this.
a mutated turtle would look like too much of a turtle on two legs or a human in a shelf...either way, the inbetween look they seem to achieve is just stupid. i remeber how some peole were complaining about the lizard being too humanoid and not talking like a dinosaur or reptile would talk ( imean without having proper lips) seing the old turtles talking i'm asking myself...why do they have to go more humanlike when they can express all the emotions without all the human features of a human being? seriously, when its coming to the question of being more realistic than this is the exact amount i dont want in a comic movie like this. id rather go with realisitc talking turtles(biologically correct with beaks) than having them humaniced faces

You can't talk with a beak...turtles aren't supposed to talk period. You need lips and a tonuge to form words and sounds. This works for me

Welcome to Hollywood slick, realism is everywhere. You want beaks go watch the original movies or the cartoons. This look is very much inspired by the TMNT: Out of the Shadows game and I'm ok with that. I like the beaks but if you expect them to talk they need lips....the beak doing weird and stupid movements when talking looked dumb. They had no lips to form certain words and sounds so half the **** they said should have been illegible
