yeah but when i look at the out of the shadows design i dont see the same lips as i see them on the released mask....and there is where i draw the line

Welcome to Hollywood slick, realism is everywhere. You want beaks go watch the original movies or the cartoons. This look is very much inspired by the TMNT: Out of the Shadows game and I'm ok with that. I like the beaks but if you expect them to talk they need lips....the beak doing weird and stupid movements when talking looked dumb. They had no lips to form certain words and sounds so half the **** they said should have been illegible

they have more of a beak but its a movable one so they can pronounce words...also its a comic fantasy movie where everything is possible..but giving them such a humanoid mouth is unnecessary

The appendage. In real life, turtles have fairly prominent tails.

The original sketch had them with decent sized tails.

For a redesign, I think it would be interesting, especially if they used it offensively.

Exactly. Splinter has been wearing clothes since the 80s and now they put clothes on a turtle and people freak out

Looks like Michaelangelo to me. It has a shell. You are showing just the head of the image you don't like and the entire body of the image you do like.

see thats what i'm talkin about
a reinvention and making something new and more grounded aproach, rather than giving them human facial features and parts of modern clothing.
this just seems to be very halfassed ...
i mean after many years making a new turtles movie this what they come up with,
while there are so many different and more interessting design aproaches out there? it just dosent seem fair...

I just found the natural coloring creative, since there are actually turtles with colors like that.

I don't know, I do like change. Like, making the turtles noticeably different heights, that's a good example. I like that.

I worry just how hard are they gonna push the realism thing, its a case of this is that gonna be what makes this film stand out differently to any other turtles design with the CGI, is the impressive part gonna be just how real they can make them appear to be human teenagers :/

Oh well, you will either go see it or not. Deal with it. I don't ***** about things because I'm not working in Hollywood making movies myself. So until I start making movies myself and doing things better than what is being done today I won't complain as much and just be glad we're getting something we may enjoy

I like the body design except for the cloths/accessories and especially the head..However I won't judge since this is just a cheap Halloween costume,I'll still wait for an official photo from the movie

You are basing your assumption that it doesn't look like a turtle on the face of a crappy kids halloween mask. It has a damn shell for crying out loud. It's a mixture between a turtle and a human...
