The Look of the Turtles

I kinda like this concept. Except for the beaks. But if this design was done in a movie & the beaks were flexible & moved like lips then I wouldn't mind them.

That is pretty cool. I wouldn't say no to something similar for a movie. Plus even though they're different colours of turtles, they still look like they could be the same species of turtle (which suits me because I would like to keep them as actual brothers).

Thats just horrible, The turtles need to be green and look like turtles, i dont see why we have to stray so far from the source material.

I like this design but he needs to be more muscular. He sould wear more items too.

They're green and they do look like turtles. You must've not seen many turtles.

I don't like Rapozas turtle art- they look chubby and kind of cartoony.
I really love what this guy is doing. Very real and natural and maintains a teen vibe to the slender look of the body. Not cartoony, and looks like a turtle.
Add some weapons maybe some street clothes, and young Brooklyn voices, would be cool.
I know lots of people are to lazy to click on the link- but I couln't get the IMG link to work..

This is the image that is said to be concept art for the new movie. Goodness, I hope not. Just did some digging. EDIT: Sorry, I just found out it is just some sculpture. It is still weird though.

Just make them have a more textured greenish look, add masks, and a little more variety and this would be awesome.

The picture that comes up is hideous and is absolutely NOT green. This just proves that super ultra realistic does not equal awesome. Now the Mirage picture next to it is cool, however.

Where did you get this picture?

I like the look but I'm not really diggin the faces. And their complexions should be darker.

Well, I guess Michael Zulli's look is out of the question since his Turtles had beaks, which I didn't mind. On the other hand, I do like the clean style of Jim Lawson's '90s Turtles as well as Rick Veitch's gritty style, so maybe something between the two would work.

I have to say, this overall design still seems the best to me.

Note the faces. They can clearly express emotion.

I'm not saying exactly like that, but somewhere in that area.

Eh, I'm not digging any of these designs you people keep throwing around. Why not just stick with the traditional look that has worked for the past nearly 30 years? I say, use the 1990 suits, and just expand on them in CGI format. Making them ugly and monstrous is not the way to go, great way to destroy any box office this could make.

Yeah, they are trying to sell toys here, ironic that may be. The new Nickelodeon cartoon almost makes them too cute, but I get why.

Those old designs wouldn't work anymore. They look too goofy now.

^That's probably the happiest medium I've seen. They look hardcore, but not so creepy that kids would be put off.
