Only in today's climate would Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus ad campaign be considered "controversial". What a bunch of crap. The metric system is controversial. Shooting nazis is not.

I can't wait to play it. Not only because I am a big fan of the first, not only because BJ survived, but they are basing the ad campaign around wiping the floor with Nazis. Sign me the hell up.

ah yes those nazis... terrible people...

I say we create a nazi virus... airborne... like Mission Impossible 2... only targeted.

AOC1 - the Ark of the Covenant virus.

Chimera, a combination of every flu virus known through history to man.

Am I the only one who loves the fact that the alt righters seemingly cannot like anything? They hate Star Wars because minorities. Hated Rogue One because diversity. Hated Homecoming because diversity. Hated Fury Road because feminism. Hated Far Cry 5 because reverse racism.

These snowflakes can't enjoy anything. I love it.

I was told reverse racism isn't a thing.

Yes. Some wanna be polite racists (race realists) while others wanna be 'peaceful ethnic cleansers'. Some real conflict there.

Was actually talking about the internet troll class that gained prominence from politicians, the media, and...SJW's. Hard to say what the pool of actual alt-righters were before that OR if alt-right was even a thing the way it's currently defined.

the term gained prominence in 2010 by Richard Spencer, a wonderful man who wants all the minorities in the US to be resettled, peacefully of course. Not hard to say at all.

And it's currently seen as racist, so not all that far apart from how it was in the beginning.

Actually, it gained prominence in 2016.
Guy claims he coined it and I was able to find an "alternative-right" blog last time; anon author.
I asked the politics peeps if they knew what this is or are they just riding the meme.

They gained notoriety in 2016. For obvious reasons.

Because it was well memed. That's the state of American discourse.

Surprised other more popular sites within the politics community didn't gain nearly as much traction given they apparently date back to the AOL dial-up days.

Speaking of, AIM is shutting down.

"Nazis are bad" is now a controversial statement. It didn't even take all of our grandfathers to die before we started pissing on them.

Speaking of modern vernacular... it's fascinating to me how the term "fake news" has caught on in the last year. People use it for all kinds of things now, political and non political.

It makes radical ideas like the truth easier to dismiss. :(

We're being conditioned to think the truth is debatable when Spicer says "sometimes we can disagree with the facts", and Conway says "alternative facts".

Free speech is one hell of a drug.
