I see some villain talk. On the DC side, I'm a fan of TDKR's adaption of Bane and MoS General Zod. Marvel, I enjoyed the Mandarin and The Collector. Comic side, I liked John "The Good Man" Farson and The Man in Black from Marvel's Gunslinger comics.

HA! Try online training with my job through Essilor who has the monopoly on the optical industry. They have some dope stuff you can get with the points but seeing as how I am not flying to any major metropolitan city anytime soon I'm just going to go with the gift cards. Although I could split it up some between Amazon, Darden, and Applebees if I wanted. Or I could do a $500 Best Buy gift card and the rest in Amazon but that seems pointless to me since Amazon usually has the better price and they ship it to my doorstep in 2 days.

All of Marvel's villains have been meh to me so far, except I love Hiddleston's Loki. Well and Ultron was entertaining.

Doc Ock was cool.

On the DC side, Heath Ledger's Joker is one of the best movie villains ever. Michael Shannon as General Zod was decent.

Have you seen the new Kingpin yet? I think he was done so damn well. It really benefited how much time they were able to give to him during the series

I know a guy who said he hated the Kingpin in the DD show because he was boring half the time and great the rest. I had to explain to him about how he had two sides to the character and how that made him work. He sort of got it but still found him boring. :whatever:

Well, maybe he'll be more interested in future appearances of Kingpin, if and when they happen, since the character had gone full-out "ill intent" by the end there.

He's more for the smashy stuff than character building.

You can always have Kingpin smack Spidey around, then. Everyone loves that.

As great as DD on Netflix was, the one thing I disliked a lot was how the arc for Fisk finished up. There's little chance of me believing that Fisk can come back and be a free man to continue arching DD. And maybe that's fine. The series was strong and it doesn't HAVE to mirror the comics, so I get that. Fisk was A villain that DD stops. But the fanboy in me wishes they had found a way to give DD a big win against Fisk and NOT put him away or have some huge public occurrence where there's no denying Fisk's guilt, which is what they went with. That's what I would have liked. Perhaps they feared that something like that would be too similar to how the DD film ended?

Or have the Russian smack Spidey around. :o

I... I... JESUS... That's all I have to say about that image.

Remember Where's Waldo from the Thomas Jane/John Travolta movie?

That's the fight after he loses.

So... He had his head attached to the body of a BBW adult film star? Comics, people. Comics.

He seems pretty enthusiastic about the situation, all things considered.

If I'm being entirely honest, I didnt really care for Fisk in Netflix's DD either. The head smashing scene was interesting, but most of the season he just came across as a socially awkward ***** with anger management issues. Irritating to say the least. If he never returns on the show I'd be fine with it.

I've been a fan of Fisk for a long time, mostly due to the 90's Spider-Man show and later with the DD comics, especially the books that showed him being a conniving mastermind like in Born Again. I just found it was an interesting new interpretation of the character.

I can see why people would find him bland though.

What i liked about Fisk in the DD netflix show is that he is a living emotional bomb that's ready to explode with anger and rage at any second, really love supervillians that have that trait.

Those Punisher books are frigging amazing. Especially when the Russian comes back demanding one thing, "Make them bigger!".

I always loved Barracuda, he was such a lovely, friendly lunatic.

You should check out Garth Ennis' Punisher magnum opus. Some good, funny times.

Funnily enough I was just telling my buddy Ed that I thought that the Punisher can be divided into two categories: Before Ennis and After Ennis. I was a big fan of Castle in the early days, mostly because I suppose it was just different than your average issue of Batman or Spidey. I always viewed it as though being crazed/crazy was sort of Frank's super power. I enjoyed this character as a remorseless killer with a supremely, even cruel moral compass. But... Suddenly the pages of comics were filled with characters like that to one degree or another. The bloom came off the rose and later Punisher stories lacked something, not to mention the general quality dipped... Then Ennis re-invigorated the character and gave the template for what the stories for Frank should be like in the 21st Century. Now... I actually haven't read much of Garth's Frank stories but I know the influence he has had, I mean, it's apparent. I have to get around to reading more of his work with the character for sure one of these days.

Barracuda was just ****ing weird on every single level. I love the start and end of the series with him on the top of the Empire State building.

I never understood what they were going in the volume before with making Frank a PG Saint of Killers. Well PG compared to the Saint anyway. :D
