Thanks, got the insurance squared away this morning. Taking it in Saturday to our local Toyota dealership (I bought it at a Mazda dealership further north) to have them run it through their rigorous inspection just to make sure everything is indeed okay. And I'm finalizing everything with the loan hopefully today/tomorrow.

I like having a new car, just not the stupid process you have to go through to get it.

Oh, once I decided I was getting the car, that's where the real annoyance started. We got to the dealership at 4:30. Test drove it for 15 maybe 20 minutes. then from that point on, SO MUCH WAITING in between various finance and salesmen guys and what not. We didn't get out of there until 6:20 - so nearly 2 hours spent at the dealership. **blah**. I said my introvert self was done engaging/interacting with strangers for the day, make it more like the next month (at least)

Buying a car shouldn't have to be an all day affair, but it is. I don't get why it can't be as simple as buying a tv, you know?

So, I'm finally at that point where I'm ready to cut the cord with my cable subscription - got all my streaming plans lined up and ready to sign up for - but breaking up with my cable company (Cox) looks like it's gonna be a real pain ass, since my cable and internet are bundled together.

It could be worse. It took me 6 months to finally get my cable service cancelled, even though I wasn't under any sort of contract. I sent back the receivers, they told me it was cancelled, and then they just kept sending me bills. I had to get the Canadian equivalent of the FCC involved to finally motivate the cable provider to get off their ass. It was a fantastic experience, I highly recommend it.

Buying a car shouldn't have to be an all day affair, but it is. I don't get why it can't be as simple as buying a tv, you know?

To me, examining the car's driver seat alone is a full day process. Suitable adjustments, comfy to sit on, doesn't hurt the person sitting behind me to pull it all the way back, steering wheel adjustment, roof height, position of pedals and breaks, handling wiper, signal and light controls.....
And I do that moving from one car to the next in one showroom only, before I try cars in different showrooms.

That expensive machine deserves a lot of attention, and perhaps two weeks to confirm the right buy.

Or a mouse.

Buying a mouse is a simpler task than buying TV, something expensive you need to check for optimum qualities to find the right device for your eyes, and one that works nicely for over a decade.

My knee jerk reaction, "This is stupid". By the end, "Shredder vs Batman? Awesome ". I doubt I'll ever watch it, it just seemed like an odd crossover to animate. I'm also kinda surprised my initial reaction was thinking that it was stupid. Given I grew up with the 90's TMNT, and like Batman.

As long as this movie doesn't spend as much time on dull human characters as the last one, it should be terrific. The only interesting human character was killed off halfway through last time.

But this has King Ghidorah, the true champion. Godzilla and Kong can suck it.
