I agree, the guy has done a lot for this role and taken it seriously. I can't wait to see the entire movie im sure he won't dissapoint!

Youtube Daffy Duck and listen to his voice, then listen to Joker's voice when he's saying "evening commisioner" and all the other lines with that kind of tone. Daffy and Joker.....are united.

It's the speech impediment style in his voice that's Daffy Duck like. Like when he says commissioner, it has the 's' sound from 'Sufferin suckatash'

'Sufferin suckatash' is Sylvester's line. Daffy's is 'You're despicable.' But yeah, Heath uses a lot of similar tones in his voice.

Heaths Joker has sounded like everyone now: Irish, BeetleJuice, English Daffy - It will be Schwarzenegger next = "Get to da choppa"!!

It was one of the influences. But really you shouldn't believe anything actors or directors say about their own characters/movies.

Well, that's understandable. It is easy to see a cartoon in jack joker. I mean, the "bam" gun, the colorful walkie talkies, and almost every other thing he did. Besides kill, of course.

Now that you say that, i'm really starting to see quite a lot of Bugs Bunny in his performance. Bugs Bunny; Funny, deadly, and silly.

And heath can be based off of....Charles Manson; simply ****ed up.

i knew why they add the black around the eyes. and it is perfect.

ledger looks like a clown that was in hell and came back because he was to evil.

Ahh, something that I do really like about the look. The black around the eyes, that is a good addition IMO. Really brings his eyes out as well as makes him appear a bit more creepy in some parts.
