I posted this in the Obama thread but I think it should be repeated here...

Here are a few votes by McCain that gets to me.

In April of 2006 McCain was one of only 13 Senators to vote against $430,000,000 for the Department of Veteran Affairs for Medical Services for outpatient care and treatment for veterans.

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...ote_cfm.cfm?congress=109&session=2&vote=00098

In March 2004 McCain voted for tax loopholes over veterans when he voted against creating a reserve fund to allow for an increase in Veterans' medical care by $1.8 billion by eliminating abusive tax loopholes.

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...ote_cfm.cfm?congress=108&session=2&vote=00040

In March of 2006 McCain once again voted against increasing Veterans medical services funding by $1.5 billion to be paid for by closing corporate tax loopholes.

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/L...ote_cfm.cfm?congress=109&session=2&vote=00041

In September of 2007 McCain voted against the Webb amendment calling for adequate troop rest between deployments.

http://senate.gov/legislative/LIS/r...ote_cfm.cfm?congress=110&session=1&vote=00341

But yet he supports the troops.:whatever:

But yet he supports the troops.:whatever:

McCain has often voted against funding bills because he supported a different, streamlined version of the bill. He votes against funding ills that contain peripheral items such as earmarks for projects that are unrelated to the purpose of the bill. He has also voted against funding bills that contain provisions such as withdrawal goals and drawdown initiatives.

He has also voted against "rest" bills because they do not contain provisions for those who have been overseas longest to be the first to receive said rest.

Are you stating that you do not believe that John McCain supports our troops?

A tipster sent us word that John McCain's VP advance man Arthur Culvahouse has been spotted in Juneau, Alaska. There's only one reason he would be there - to meet with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin about the Vice President position.

This comes on the heels of McCain's Memorial Day weekend barbecue attended by Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, Kansas Sen. Sam Brownback, South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, former White House budget director Rob Portman, and Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman. Supposedly that was in informal affair, not a vetting session, but it appears that the VP selection game is very much afoot.

Governor Palin would (in my estimation) make an excellent VP candidate for McCain. Thomas Cheplick at The American Spectator makes the case that she's probably the only VP candidate who can balance the ticket against Obama. She's also a potential magnet for disaffected Hillary Clinton voters, many of whom are just looking for a reason not to vote for Obama.

McCain is a proven idiot, a proven liar, and a comically inept liar at that as anyone can see in these horrifying comparative videos of his insane lies and misstatements, right from his own mouth.
http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/325.html

If you vote for McCain you are voting for an idiot and a liar.

Knives, take a few days off and when you come back perhaps you can learn to be more respectful of the opinions of others.

ahahaha, what the hell?
absolute power and stuff.......:woot:
AHAHAHAHAHA! seriously.

So now McCain's appealing to the sexist Rodham loyalists? :o

Well considering I posed the question first, I would at least expect you to explain your case.

You asked a stupid question.

"The sky is blue. *points at sky*"

"Explain how that's any different from the trees."

if i'm going to have to see an idiot and a liar in the headlines for the next 4 years, i'd rather watch a well spoken one. it should be REQUIRED that the next President says the word "America" properly. i'm tired of hearing our supposed leader pronounce our country's name like "Amurrrka" and McCain pronounces it just like that.

You asked a stupid question.

If you're so insistent that MY question was stupid, defend your own stupid question by proving to me why Obama ISN'T a liar and an idiot.

Explain how that's ANY different from voting for Obama.

Explain how it isn't.

Obama IS an idiot and a liar. A well-spoken idiot liar, but an idiot liar nonetheless.

Wow, blanket statements with no proof...the same things that prove McCain to be an idiot and a liar. :whatever:

woulnd't your own posts both answer your question and cast doubt on your statement about Obama being an Idiot.
first of all, you pretty much admit that in your view Voting for McCain and voting for Obama are pretty much the same.
then when asked about it you just said "Obama is and idiot and a liar" however, you're being offered proof that McCain is either an idiot and a liar as well, or a senile old man who can't keep his answers and stances straight.
so again, the question would be, presented with the video evidence, what video evidence do you have of your own that supports your stance on Obama and your claims of his lies and lack of intelligence.
do you actually have anything to back your claim up, or are merely trying to pass off your opinion as fact?

Well, since Wilhelm started this all off with a video, I'll do the same:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1MvbBAVTjE

And no, I don't support McCain, if that's what you think.

ok, just so you know I don;t think you support McCain, though it seems obvious you don't support Obama.
but of course, unlike the video wilhelm posted, this was a poor job.
so poor a job that it needs little screens so people can more clearly comprehend.
if Obama was indeed an "idiot and a liar" then the video, like McCain's wouldn't need the misleading comments because the mistakes and lies would be obvious.
example, the Pakistan thing Obama says:

" I didn't say we would act immediately...."
the video that supposedly proves he is lying says:

"If (Mussharraf) will not act we will!"

it even gives the context that it is up to Musharraf to act first.
but then the little blue screen says "can't have it both ways......"
can't have what both way? what part of the video segment disproves what he said?

none of it.

the illegal immigrants licenses?
he avoided answering a question with a yes or no answer how is this proof that he is a "liar" when he doesn't answer or an "idiot"? I mean, do you really think he is the only person in politics to not answer a question with a straight yest or no?

the single payer things is dead on and I happen to know about it since this article http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/clinton-obama_slugfest.html
which I read in february.
this website came in handy, because then, when the video falsely claims "Obama liead about NAFTA" I already knew that the video itself was a lie.

http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/the_facts_about_nafta-gate.html

how is some lady talking about possible strategy and, if the video is correct supporting the idea that he would keep his word on it if the situation on the ground allows it catching him "lying" about it?
so you suspend all critical thinking when youtube is on your screen?
like O'reilly saying that one dude was in Iraq therefore AL-quaeda was in iraq.
then it shows Karl freaking rove!
Karl Rove....the guys responsible for exposing a US Spy......:up:
it was, in summation a pathetic attempt. when Obama, as a politician has had many missteps.

If you want videos, there are countless of them on Youtube proving what a liar and an idiot he is. You may refute a lot of the content of this particular video (such as the validity of Karl Rove's opinion, which I'll have to agree with you on) but the point is, Obama is just as big of an idiot as McCain (his comments about his grandmother being a "typical white person," his mention of visiting 57 states--please, can you honestly say these things are ANY less stupid than anything Bush has ever said?). You may respect the fact that I don't support McCain, but there's no way you can intelligently convince me that Obama is by ANY means better. The clear cut difference is that McCain is a Republican and Obama is a Democrat--which gives me all the less reason to vote for him. At the end of the day, they're both bumbling frauds, no matter how you dice it--Obama just happens to have superficial appeal on his side.

I didn't post the video to say "Vote for Obama!".

I posted it to say, "McCain is an idiot and a liar."
That is indisputable now, thanks to McCain himself.
This is the McCain thread, not the Obama thread.
When I find video proof of Obama lying and saying idiotic things, I'll post the proof in the Obama thread.

I just wanted to point out that earmakrs this year totaled 15 billion dollars. so McCain's claims that eliminating earmarks will balance the budget will come up quite short. Spending is up 1 trillion since the Clinton days. That is 66 times the number that earmakes total up to.

I was never arguing that.
I think it was you who went back on your statement, I just asked you to clarify it.
you did I disagreed, I'm not saying Obama is untouchable, like I said I have read about his antics all through the primaries, but his real antics and they rarely get any light thrown on them as it is.
just my point.

How about bobby jindal ?

He will pick the Forida GovernorIMO. Romney is not trusted widely and his religion would be an issue.(wrongly I might add) but still an issue to some.
