Hmmm...that's interesting. I just read that article. Basically what it was was an interview between "American Morning's" John Roberts and Mitt Romney. Roberts was asking Romney about McCain's "new line of attack" against Barack Obama. I'll have to see if I can find it again...

So I'm sitting here reading through McCain's "stance on the issues" and am getting even more concerned. (I pulled all of this from JohnMcCain.com)


He opposes "waiting periods" for gun purchases
He opposes bans on "assault rifles" and/or ammunition
He opposes "Roe v. Wade"
He opposes "fetal farming" or stem cell research
He opposes legislation that would "undermine" the sactity of marriage
He opposes strategic withdraw from Iraq


He believes that "No Child Left Behind" has been successful
He believes that we should stop filling our strategic oil preserves to help reduce demand


He supports the Gas Tax Holiday
He supports allowing home owners to "exchange" their mortgages for home loans
He supports doubling the personal exemption for dependents
He supports tax cuts for american employers
He supports a control of Medicare growth
He supports lowering trade barriers with other countries
He supports the "surge" In Iraq and touts it as an obvious success
He supports a "bolstering of american military posture" toward Iran
He supports Health Savings Accounts (HSA's)
He supports Medical Liability Reform (which would work to eliminate lawsuits directed at doctor's who "follow clinical guidelines")
He supports increasing the size of our military (but doesn't say how that would occur)

And people wonder why I call him McBush.

I'm telling you Supe, I have a hard time seeing how he is a "moderate" given the stances he has taken on important issues. All of the points that I listed came directly from JohnMcCain.com. They weren't from opinion articles, biased media, or anti-McCain sources, they came straight from his presidential website.

Yeah, I've always called "BS" on the claim that he's a moderate based on his stance on all of these issues as well.

Heidi Montag endorses John McCain. Is there a better reason not to vote for the guy? I'm not really sure who she is, other than being on The Hills. My wife will occasionally watch those shows and I find them to be awful, hot blondes with hard bodies or not, those things are unbearable.

In fairness, he's right.

But it wasn't appropriate for a fellow politician to say.

Was Carter a good president? No.

Was it right for John McCain to say such a thing? Absolutely not.

If a prominent Democratic politician said that Reagan was a lousy president, or implied that his ideas were lousy, the Republican Party would go ape ****. They would say that such a statement is inappropriate, uncalled for, and unnecessary. I believe that politicians should refrain from criticizing past presidents unless it is absolutely necessary, and even then, only policy should be criticized, not the president himself.

Also, I like how McCain is criticizing someone who was President three decades ago. If that doesn't scream "irrelevant," I don't know what does.

I totally agree with that. Especially since it's a long way to go to VERY, VERY, VERY weakly try to tie Obama to Carter. Not only is it pretty ridiculous in general, it's really not a a good idea to be throwing those kind of stones when you're living in your neighbor's (Bush) greenhouse.

There is a protocal for past presidents in how they speak of sitting presidents, etc. McCain is not a part of that protocal. Should he have said what he said, true or not? No, it wasn't smart as far as a campaign strategy goes.

Carter, on the other hand, has pretty much taken this protocal, speaking truth or not, and pretty much threw it in the trash.

So, with all of that said, even though McCain should not have said what he said, Carter has no room to complain, and neither does the Democratic party.

This is a presidential campaign, and it is going to get alot worse, THIS IS NOTHING. People for both candidates, the campaign people themselves, and the candidates ALL need to grow some balls, because the group that whines the least, and stays above the ****pile will end up president.

My father knows Charlie Black, he has worked closely with Charlie Black, my father is friends with Charlie Black.

Charlie Black should of known better, it was stupid to say something like that in an instance where it would be reported.

To call him evil or wicked or even saying he was incorrect is stupid, however.

You know, I've noticed something about this post.

Norman you never say Black was wrong to say it, You just say that he was "stupid" to have gotten caught saying it to a reporter.

You even say that calling him incorrect is stupid aswell.

Are we to take from this that you think Black was right and that McCain would benefit from another terrorist attack?
